Donald Trump Comes Out Of Iowa Looking Like Pat Buchanan

On Monday, Iowa voters did something that Republican "party elites" had failed to do for more than seven months: They rejected Donald Trump.

Trump received 24 percent of the vote in the Iowa caucuses, placing him closer to the third-place candidate, Marco Rubio (23 percent), than to the winner, Ted Cruz (28 percent). Trump underperformed his polls, which had him winning Iowa with 29 percent of the vote, while Cruz and Rubio outperformed theirs.

It's not uncommon for the polls to be off in Iowa and other early-voting states, but the manner in which Trump underachieved is revealing. It turns out that few late-deciding voters went for him. According to entrance polls in Iowa, Trump won 39 percent of the vote among Iowans who decided on their candidate more than a month ago. But he took just 13 percent of voters who had decided in the last few days, with Rubio instead winning the plurality of those voters....

I’m ex New York, live in Texas part time. I know exactly what Ted Cruz is talking about when he disparages New York Values. “New York Values” are precisely what has driven so many New Yorkers into exile. The ‘New York Values’ taxed local jobs into extinction, they went away and the people followed. When I go back I am heartbroken by the economic disaster zone my hometown has become. The world has passed us by and why? New York Values, i.e. liberalism, progressivism and all the ills they bring to a community.

Ted Cruz said nothing to disparage the people of New York, only the fact that their government has so seriously let them down. The rest of the country does not want to face the same fate.

It’s true; Trump is not for ‘Obamacare’ specifically. He is for something far worse - ‘single payer’.

I don’t know when Cruz said it, but I’ll say it right now: Trump IS for amnesty. He has said so. He just wants the illegals to go home and fill out there paperwork there, instead of Rubio’s plan that would let the illegals fill out their paperwork here. Big difference? Not.

You want to see a double-talking, deceptive, duplicitous, prevaricating equivocator, take a look at Trump.
