But you know, if you’re even vaguely rational, that that is a vote for Hill (or Bern or Joe or Liz).

And my first choice at this point is Cruz. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in Iowa, since I think there’s a fair chance Cruz’s organization could pull it out.

Cruz and Trump and head and shoulders above the rest of the crowd, IMO, and not having Trump sow it up right off does open it up for one of the others to slip in there. That head-to-head you’re seeing is in liberal WI, but any differences in the national polls on that have all been within the margin of error—one way or the other—and it’s a long, long way to November.

But what is it in Trump’s values that you are so against? He doesn’t smoke or drink, he’s raised a stellar family with highly successful children in apparently good marriages and with lovely children. (And it is sadly rare for billionaires to keep their kids away from drug troubles and the like.) He has admitted to adultery in his first marriage, but a lot of his playboying was in his single years and by all counts he has had a strong marriage for years.

Sure, in the past, he back “a woman’s right to choose”, but it’s not especially Christian for one not to forgive those who have mended their ways.

What is your biggest issue with his values?

Your vote for Trump in the primaries is a vote for Hillary in the general because the head-to-heads show Trump will LOSE.

Two can play this game. Vote for the candidate with the best chance to win in the general. I’m sick of hearing how Cruz can’t win the general when the head-to-heads show a totally different story. Just because Trump polls well in primary numbers, doesn’t mean he isn’t going to get clobbered in the general, which the head-to-heads show.

The rest of your post makes me throw up. What values am I against? I’m against the fact that he’s a political windsock who changes his values at the drop of a hat for personal gain. His family is stellar? Which one? His first, second, or third? He’s a cheating a-hole, with the same “family values” as Clinton, except that at least Bill and Hillary have stayed married.

Trump will not only disappoint you, he’ll outright betray you. He doesn’t give a crap about conservatism, as his political donation history shows. He’s all over the place. Whatever serves his own interest best. The worst kind of political creature - not the prostitute, but the John.
