Your vote for Trump in the primaries is a vote for Hillary in the general because the head-to-heads show Trump will LOSE.

Two can play this game. Vote for the candidate with the best chance to win in the general. I’m sick of hearing how Cruz can’t win the general when the head-to-heads show a totally different story. Just because Trump polls well in primary numbers, doesn’t mean he isn’t going to get clobbered in the general, which the head-to-heads show.

The rest of your post makes me throw up. What values am I against? I’m against the fact that he’s a political windsock who changes his values at the drop of a hat for personal gain. His family is stellar? Which one? His first, second, or third? He’s a cheating a-hole, with the same “family values” as Clinton, except that at least Bill and Hillary have stayed married.

Trump will not only disappoint you, he’ll outright betray you. He doesn’t give a crap about conservatism, as his political donation history shows. He’s all over the place. Whatever serves his own interest best. The worst kind of political creature - not the prostitute, but the John.

For the 1st time in a while, I like this Cruz thread because I’m (not yet) bullied, called names and chased away.

I disagree, but I already told you—Cruz is my first choice (now that he’s finally come out truly against amnesty, while Trump is only for touchback).

So I take it you couldn’t support the twice-married Reagan, either. I’m from the Northeast, his donation history and sucking up to Dems from time to time doesn’t surprise me. Businesses and that goes doubly for big RE often have to pay protection money to pols for them not to mess with you.

I can’t really fault him for his distaste for the Bush presidencies. He was a national fundraiser for Reagan, and you can find clips on Youtube from 20 years ago where he’s essentially reciting his current stump speech.

Truth be told I don’t really trust him or Cruz (how’d you like Cruz’s game on TPP/TPA?), but the kin of guys who reach this level of politics are seldom angels—and whom we elect despite that makes a big difference—worldwide.

A very good point BB. I understand the appeal of Trump’s irreverence and willingness to punch the media and establishment in the nose, they deserve it. But the hysteria that has propelled Trump’s bandwagon has also left them blind and tone deaf. This guy isn’t who they project him to be and those not caught up in the hysteria think he’s an unprincipled, sleazy, opportunistic, misogynist blowhard. Most every woman I know despises him for the “bleeding” remark, saying that Krauthammer has to have his pants picked out for him, and for the lies he throws at Cruz,,, they also point out that The Donald is “fugly”. This man is an easy target.
