Succession planning is challenging. IF Ailes is unavailable for health reasons, or if profits become unacceptably low, then it'll be time to make an orderly change. FoxNews profits aren't at risk, at least not much. One debate is a drop in the bucket. Where else are people going to go for news in the long run? CNN, MSNBC, NPR, BBC? The elites have an iron grip on the machine that forms public conciseness. Profits are guaranteed, it's only a question of how they are carved up between the "professional wrestlers' (You mean it's all FAKE!?)
Many people are dropping cable news altogether and are getting news from the internet.
Having said that, CNN is doing a much better job these days than Fox News. Fox News is too agenda driven. It’s only bearable to watch if your agenda coincides with theirs.
With CNN on the other hand it seems that they couldn’t care less about the outcome of the political process. They only care about ratings.
