Ted Cruz: ‘We can shock the political world’
The Washington Times' Inside The Beltway ^ | January 25, 2016 | Jennifer Harper

Posted on 01/25/2016 8:13:22 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

It is an old-fashioned, bodacious campaign blitz. Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz has multiple events in 26 Iowa cities and towns through week's end at a critical time: the next official GOP debate in Des Moines is Thursday, the Iowa caucuses are just six days away. Mr. Cruz is embracing the blitz and has plenty muscle. Campaigning this week with the candidate: Rick Perry, Rep. Steven King and evangelical leader Bob Vander Plaatz -- who have all endorsed the Cruz quest for the White House. The quartet will appear at seven rallies together on Tuesday alone, with stops at a bull ranch, a steak house and a 19th-century historic mansion.

"All across the country, conservatives are coalescing behind Ted, and just days from now, we have the chance to do something remarkable together. We can shock the political world with a victory for Ted in Iowa and begin the march to winning the Republican nomination and taking back the White House," advise campaign organizers.

The Cruzin' To Caucus tour spans a veritable road-trip of Iowa, with visits this week to Maquoketa, Manchester, Independence, Osceola, Albia, Centerville, Bloomfield, Ottumwa, Fairfield, Keosauque, Des Moines, Ringsted, Fenton, Emmetsburg, Wilton, Wapello, Hubbard, Ames, Hamlin, Ida Grove, Sioux City, Iowa City, Davenport, Des Moines, Jefferson and Marion....

Unreal, do you even read the stuff you reference? Trump does not say he wants to implement single payer even in that worthless buzzfeed article.

Here is my statement again: How about praising single-payer? Is that Conservative?

And here is what you substituted: Trump does not say he wants to implement single payer even in that worthless buzzfeed article.

This is what is known as a strawman. You discarded what was actually said and replaced it with something you could argue against. It shows you have no integrity. As for my actual words, I provided a link which proves exactly what I said. See how that works? I made a claim. I provided evidence that supports that claim. You should try it some time.

Ya, good luck with that. This is an election not a fund raiser.

Ted greeting supporters......unlike other candidates...Ted loves to be among the people, hear what they're saying and their concerns....and they don't drool or gap with open mouths for their next feeding...

Just like Reagan when he was getting shot down by Congressional leaders.........by passing the establishment and taking his message on the issues directly to the ears of the people....

And they're right there to help him take it all the way to Washington!!!

That's a good thing then, those people look more like they are attending a wake then a concert. They make Jeb's supporters look like rowdy spring break collage kids.

BLIND MAN tells Ted Cruz even he can see through Hillary Clinton!!!

...80-year-old Court Oviatt a retired rural mail carrier from Logan, Iowa......"I'm blind. I'm almost 100 percent blind... Been that way for two years now, and I can still see through Hillary Clinton." further adding....."This is the first time for 40 years since Reagan I can vote for a true conservative Christian."

They take their voting seriously and understand what the stakes are for the country and the the affect this election will have on the people.... they want to hear what he has to say and Cruz wants to hear them. It’s a real campaign and one the people want in order to know exactly where their candidate stands.

What ever gets you trough it. I'm looking forward to the Iowa Caucus, I hope you and fellow Cruz supporters are around for that. I'm really looking forward to some vindication.

There are broad differences...

One speaks with and among the people to know and hear their concerns and to hear where he stands on the issues......the other speaks at the people about the greatness of himself.....

I don't think the voters are wanting to just "get through it"....this is an important election.,,how they vote matters and they know it.

Why wouldn't I, or Cruz supporters, be around for the vote? ...did you have something else in mind????

I expect Cruz will win Iowa so of course being among fellow Freepers for the Victory is the plan.

“Why do so many here want the conservative leader to lose so bad?”

That is a very valid question and one that I’ve been wondering myself. Particularly on a professed, steadfast, conservative site such as free republic.

Makes one wonder.
