It was another interesting week on the presidential political scene on several fronts.
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad was vocal, Sarah Palin took a stand and Hillary Clinton raised her attacks on Bernie Sanders.
Former Illinois Congressman Phil Hare and former Iowa State Representative David Millage addressed these issues during an appearance on 4 the Record.
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad got involved in presidential politics. It's not typical of him, but, he doesn't want Ted Cruz to win the Iowa caucuses because of his stance on ethanol. Cruz is ahead in the polls for Iowa....

Versus a rigid ideologue who has a personality deficit that can't work with anyone.
Palin dumped Cruz and Cruz could only attract the crazy Robertson and the nut bag Glenn Beck.
Brothers from a separate mother. Separated at birth, but joined in the Freedom Caucus endorsement.
The poor saps who have deceived themselves into believing Trump is a conservative think you can paint stripes on a donkey and make it a zebra. He will make deals with his fellow Democrats in Congress and if that fails, Obama will bequeath his phone and pen to him for Trump’s own executive orders. Liberty loses.
We’ll know when the votes are counted, but I think Ted Cruz’s values and his style are well suited to Iowa.
Cruz has a great one on one personality. I believe he’s the only one who didn’t cater to the ethanol people.
Trump people would say, ‘nobody likes Cruz, he didn’t cater to ethanol.’
Same thing said about the GOPe Senators, he didn’t cater to them either.
Somebody who put his or her mind to it could probably find a picture of Trump with every democrat or Hollywood star.
We’ve seen plenty of him with Hillary and Bill.
I’ll see your Goldman Sachs (by the way, has anybody ever said exactly what is wrong with Goldman Sachs) and raise you twenty bankruptcies and thirty takeovers.
On most issues, Trump is far to the right of Me Too Teddy.
But no, he is not your version of “pure” conservative. Thank God. He still has some balls, as evidenced by his willingness to kick Hillary’s ass on any issue. Teddy has made Billybob’s history off limits. The Rats don’t play by rules. Cuckservatives do. That’s why they’ve done nothing but Obama’s bidding for the last 8 years, no matter how big their majority.
Those poor saps have dug such a deep hole for themselves in their Trump worship, I don’t think they can climb out now if they wanted to.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
Where’s your proof that Ted Cruz would not bring up Bill’s history?
He might not use the term ‘balls’ or ‘kick Hillary’s ass’ but he will fight as hard, if more elegantly.
List the bankruptcies. 20?
There were 4. And those were RESTRUCTURING, not write offs.
You should study economics and US laws before opening your pie hole with the Cruz talking points.
While you’re at it, let’s see you show me the poor woman’s bulldozed house that is still standing today.
He has publicly stated that those issues are off limits.
Look it up yourself, I’m not doing your research for you.
Ted Cruz was not being honest with the Texas voters during his 2012 Senatorial campaign. His 'I'm liquidating everything' spiel was found to be a false narrative.
Trump had 4 bankruptcies but when 33,000 jobs are attributed to you, are responsible for 22,000 employees and $9.5 billion in annual revenue, once in a while a business doesn't work out.
Cruz wouldn't know that cause he's only got about 4 achievements he can crow about.
And while you’re at it, let’s hear you explain Teddy lobbying with Ryan for Obama’s TPA so that we can have the TPP. I’ll post the link to their joint article that they authored together if you haven’t seen it.
Cruz tanked. Did you see the reurters rolling average ? Sad.
Beck and the NRO didn’t help.
Even with my vitriol, I’d vote for Cruz if he wins the nomination. The Beck deal was truly sad.
When’s the national primary?
Beck is a sicko. In the now implausibility of a cruz victory , I would vote FOR him. But never rubio— ever.
