Time to worry.
As the Iowa primary draws near, the Republican race has come down to some basic questions: Can Donald Trump's insurgent campaign maintain its support? And if it can't, where do his votes go?
It seems unlikely his voters would flock to candidates like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio--not with the deep animus flowing towards the Republican establishment. Alternately, if Trump's voters flee him because they deem the reality television star unelectable, why would they turn to fellow insurgents like Ben Carson or Mike Huckabee, who are even harder to envision in the Oval Office?
Standing in the gap is Senator Ted Cruz, a candidate every bit as uncompromising and angry as Trump--but with enough experience in elected office to seem plausible. Cruz also has a significantly strong campaign infrastructure, deep-pocketed donors, and skyrocketing poll numbers....

Oh snap!
The OP is telling you who they really fear in the Presidency and it ain’t the ego maniac Trump they know how to deal with narcissist.
Doggone you Cruz bots. I read: CRUZ DIVESTED HIMSELF OF ASSETS TO FUND HIS CAMPAIGN. PLEASE SHOW WHAT, WHEN AND DETAILS OF SECURED LOANS.
Mobbed up? Evidence please.
It’s a free country, at least for now.
I'll put it out thereâI'm rooting for Ted Cruz to win Iowa and New Hampshire and anywhere else he can do damage to Trump before the Joe McCarthy lookalike self-immolates in a bonfire of biofuel, birth certificates, and Goldman Sachs loans.
Cruz, the only GOP candidate to come close to Trump in the polls, is in a bad way. Sarah Palin may have endorsed Trump in gibberish, but popular Iowa Governor Terry Branstad denounced Cruz for opposing ethanol subsidies in plain Iowa greedlish, and constitutional lawyers are raising serious questions about whether the Canadian-born senator is eligible to become president. And now, in a kind of SwiftChurching, accusations are flying that Cruz is a âphonyâ Christian.
A radio ad by a newly formed outside group called Americans United for Values is going right after Cruz's supposed firewall, his strength among evangelicals. It starts by suggesting heâs soft on gay marriage. (Apparently, he is.) Via Politico:
That's why I'm rooting for Cruz. Hillary could beat him with ease, while the Beltway illusionâthat she'd trample Trumpâis crumbling more every day. The farce is with him.
