Time to worry.
As the Iowa primary draws near, the Republican race has come down to some basic questions: Can Donald Trump's insurgent campaign maintain its support? And if it can't, where do his votes go?
It seems unlikely his voters would flock to candidates like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio--not with the deep animus flowing towards the Republican establishment. Alternately, if Trump's voters flee him because they deem the reality television star unelectable, why would they turn to fellow insurgents like Ben Carson or Mike Huckabee, who are even harder to envision in the Oval Office?
Standing in the gap is Senator Ted Cruz, a candidate every bit as uncompromising and angry as Trump--but with enough experience in elected office to seem plausible. Cruz also has a significantly strong campaign infrastructure, deep-pocketed donors, and skyrocketing poll numbers....

If loans from Goldman and Citibank define sleaze, Don Trump is covered in yards of slime that make the Cruz’s look clean as a whistle. But you knew that already.
Come on Trump...
This the perfect timing for a graceful Carson exit given the horrible accident that happened.
Make a deal with Carson in exchange of his support and endorsement, prior to Iowa caucases. Seal the deal. Run the table...
Cruz is the direct opposite of donnie. Trumpees don’t want to see it. They do not care about facts, principles, his lies, his innate liberalism, his immaturity, lack of knowledge of basic civics, or his determination to destroy all who disagree with him.
First gop candidate in history to get a free pass, but trumpees will whine because a conservative like Rubio supported amnesty in the past JUST LIKE DONNIE WHO THEY IGNORE ALL HIS LIBERAL VIEWS.
still wearing yourself out in the echo chamber I see
You’re suggesting we believe analysis from a pinko rag like the The Nation? LMAO. Nice try.
Evangelicals would come out in such large numbers for Cruz, heâd win in a huge landslide. If Trump is the nominee, many of those same people will stay home.
Dream on. Cruz is only getting 1/3 of Evangelicals in Iowa. Trump gets 1/3 and the rest is split. And that’s 1/3 of a GOP primary. That’s the best he’s doing any place in the country. That is not a path to 270 Electoral Votes. Sorry.
Your fellow Trumpets post from much worse on a daily basis.

Loans? How about $100,000 in campaign cash from Goldman Sachs to Ted Cruz? That big pile of cashola from Goldman goes a long way in explaining Cruz’s temporary insanity to campaign for Obama’s legacy trade agenda. Unfortunately, Senator Principled Conservative (TM) is a bought and paid for career politician. Always has been. Always will be.
Corporations are forbidden to contribute to political campaigns. Nice try, though.
I don’t want to reward theNation with a click to their site. I don’t imagine they like Cruz.
Cruz very much resembles Napolian.....
And have to ask why Nation published pro-Cruz piece.
Wow. The Nation as a source.
Cruz lost when he voted to allow the vote on SECRET
ObamaTRADE and attempted to rationalize it.
The loans and his wife explain his lack
of conservative strategy.
.../ Senator. We’re both part of the same hypocrisy.../

Business loans way different than campaign loans and you must know it.
I’ve posted from RFK’s Ring of Fire website. A story is a story.

$100k in individual contributions from Goldman employees. You know how they work the system. Nice try, though.
Is Cruz mobbed up? Because you know Trump is. And it wasn’t a “campaign loan” it was a personal loan against assets they already owned and thus was a secured loan. No loan officer even involved.
If you dredge up stories from the leftist sewers, I guess so. The Nation has no credibility with me.
