Cruz is a good man, and we need him. I hope he can survive his campaign and worse his supporters because they do him no credit.

This is the first reasonable sentiment I've seen from a Trump supporter. FWIW, I'm sure Cruz will survive. He was a conservative before he was elected to the Senate and despite the GOPe's best efforts has remained a conservative. It's why I support him.

I don't support Trump because he's supposedly only recently become a conservative and he is so quick to personally denigrate anyone who disagrees with him. I thought that despite these things that I don't like about Trump if he were the nominee I would vote for him. I really doubt it now.

Trump started the phony eligibilty issue, even though he knows it has no merit and when given the opportunity to disavow NY values of abortion, homosexual marriage, and big govt he didn't.

Trump started the phony eligibility issue

It is not phony, but a live controversy. As one attorney explained it to me, when 80 attorneys can argue it, it is a live controversy and remains a live controversy until the courts settle it. Because it is "only" a constitutional issue the SC has original jurisdiction and must therefore decide the matter.

Trump did not start the eligibility issue. He was asked in a recent interview and he had a few comments and that was it. The media pounded it and then he started bringing it up. And like he said in the debate, just get the issue resolved so you can be my VP.

McCain had to get the issue resolved. But Trump did not bring up the topic.
