I guess King David, who killed a man so he could have the man's wife, is totally out for you, then. Oh, and he also wrote most of the Book of Psalms and figures largely in the books of Samuel, in which he thanks God on his deathbed for having been given by God the will to slay thousands, cut off heads and kill their women and cattle in order to establish the nation of Israel for God's Chosen People, to whom all Christians are now "grafted on". Or so says The Bible.
God can work through any situation, even evil, to achieve His purposes. God anoints rulers and uses them to suit His purposes. You don't have to approve of their character, nor are you to judge them, which is the Lord's province; your task, according to God, is to pray for them.
And my job is also not to vote to elevate them to high office when they have showed a complete dearth of character.
oh...and when you’re laying in bed tonight, I hope that you lay there thinking about the fact that you are apparently willing to excuse almost anything. And I hope that you ponder what that says about you.
