Cruz can’t survive long in such a situation since it’s easy to label him a kook. He associates with Dominionists (”We must conquer society in order to redistribute the wealth to the pastors!”), including his father, and has had pastors such as the false Prophetess Beth Moore and the current inane pastors of the megachurch he attends. At the center of this ugly little solar system is C. Peter Wagner.
On the other end, Cruz’s “Conservative” strengths are easily rendered into weaknesses when paired against Marco or Jeb. So far there hasn’t been a serious push to demonstrate that Cruz is lying about his immigration position, nor to bring up the skeleton of TPA out of his closet. It doesn’t look good to say that Marco Rubio is terrible because he supports amnesty, only to reveal that Cruz is weak on immigration too, but, even worse, dishonest about it.
There really is only one choice for conservatives this go around.

Trump is no conservative.
The more I see of Cruz, the less I like him. And the media is just waiting, hoping Cruz gets the nomination then the general will all be about how he is ‘ineligible’ - true or not doesn’t matter they will make it the only point in the general election and enough people will not support him because of the media portrayal.
Cruz would be destroyed by the MSM. It’s sad that people don’t see it.

I have challenged Cruz supporters regarding TPA, and so far it’s been ‘crickets’.
We were desperate to find any senator support a safe border. Cruz was the only one. But what to do with immigrants still remaining in the US?
Did you guys realize that police now have license plate auto-scanning capability? Here in Virginia, the use of such scanning was banned by Governor McAwful — it could flush out almost every illegal immigrant driver in weeks! And the Ruling Class doesn’t want such technology to overwhelm their scheme.
He may have burned some bridges with his brutal honesty (about the rest of the Congress' brutal dishonesty) but that can be rectified if he wins the Presidency.
Punditry w/o tangible support is just words - we need to get behind those we want to succeed in a tangible way...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

People touting Cruz as the “legitimate conservative” or whatever are ignoring his record. The word “conservative” no longer means what it used to mean but is now a comfy high horse for those who are besieged by Trump criticizers in their circle. The so-called flight from Trump to Cruz is really just a little shuteye to get away from the horrible realities we face as a nation and the innovative plans we have to make to save ourselves.
