Could Donald Trump have opened himself up to new attacks?
After months tiptoeing around Trump's culturally insensitive rhetoric and constitutionally questionable plans, the New Yorker's pitch to indefinitely ban all Muslims from entering the U.S. on the grounds that many are radical jihadists or terrorist sympathizers appeared to give Republicans the political cover they needed to unleash on the real estate mogul and reality television star. That's crucial, GOP strategists say, because broad criticism from the right has been the missing link in attempts to dethrone Trump.
"When he starts arguing to shred the Constitution, it gets easy for other conservatives to take him on. You saw that yesterday and today," said Republican consultant Brad Todd, who until recently ran the super PAC supporting Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's since-aborted presidential bid. "The best thing that can happen is for him to go full fruitcake and get this show over with."(continued)

I take exception here. How is Trump shredding the constitution?? We have always had the right to determine who is allowed to enter this country. We have at times in history restricted or banned immigration from some parts of the world.
These liberals are trying to say, inaccurately, that foreigners have American constitutional rights. Foreigners are not Ameircan citizens and have no American constitutional rights. Foreigners do not have an unalienable right to immigrate to or to get a visa to visit America. We can ban certain people if we pass the appropriate laws.
There is already a law on the books which allows the president to ban certain people from this country.
Jimmy Carter banned Iranians from America during the hostage crisis.
We can debate what Trump wants to do but these liberals are not entitled to their own facts. The fact is that we have and have always had the legal right and authority to ban any non citizens from coming into this country.
So the hard core left maybe 10%, the media and Muslim terrorists all oppose Trump’s Muslim ban. There is our enemy right there!
