Former Senator Bob Dole of Kansas endorsed Jeb Bush for president on Wednesday, saying he believed that the former Florida governor was the best qualified candidate — and also making clear that he still held a grudge against Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.
The endorsement, timed for Veterans Day — Mr. Dole fought in World War II — was announced by Mr. Bush’s campaign. But NBC News, in a brief interview with Mr. Dole, the Republican nominee for president in 1996, had cool words for only one candidate.
“I think he’s the most qualified, and we need somebody with experience and there are a lot of good candidates — I like nearly all of them,†Mr. Dole said of Mr. Bush and the rest of the field, before quietly adding, “Except Cruz.â€(continued)

This is the same Dole who once endorsed Viagra as well? What a real let down!! He must have felt Jib-Jeb needed a well deserved pick-me-up. GO CRUZ!!
He probably wouldn't support Newt, either.
Dole is old and feeble. Somebody coached him on what to say.

Yep. Very frail looking though. My dad & husband met him in DC where he meets veterans from the honor flights.
I’ll give him credit at least for that. It is commendable that he still does that at his age. I am no fan of his politics though.

Anytime a RINO, elitist, establishment guy/gal attacks a candidate, I know that’s the candidate I need to vote for.
If you have an erection that lasts for more than four hours, your brain may be damaged from lack of oxygen and like Bob Dole, you may endorse a Bush. If this occurs seek immediate medical attention.
Great - one more reason to like Cruz.
Bob Dole ‘96: “should I go negative, should I go negative ? (against Toon)” He goes negative on Cruz right out of the gate.
If you like Jeb, you’re not going to be excited about Cruz.
Respectfully, Senator Dole, meditate on getting ready to meet your Maker and quit mucking around in politics. You’re making an ass of yourself.
