This is so old—probably 25-30 years from the way he looks.
They sure are digging.
Digging? Maybe, but this is dated today.

Ben Carson’s unusual theory about pyramids
NAPLES, Florida — Ben Carson stood by his long-held belief about ancient pyramids in Egypt, that they were used to store grain, rather than to inter pharaohs.
Asked about this Wednesday, Carson told CBS News, “It’s still my belief, yes.”
The subject came up when Buzzfeed published a 1998 commencement speech delivered by Carson at Andrews University, a college founded by Seventh-day Adventists.
“My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,” Carson said. “Now all the archeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don’t think it’d just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain.”

It is old, but this is the whims of politics. If Buzzfeed picked up on this, it will start to filter into social media. That’s a shame because it should be a non-issue. But if it hits Twitter and Facebook hard, it could be trouble for the Carson campaign.
One misstep is all it takes to reinforce a narrative that others want to put on you.
I think this is something ridiculous, but ridiculous things have made a difference before.
When one runs for president, one is subject to lot of digging. How many of Trump’s ancient statements have been posted right here?
