This is a great article, except for the line:
“The Republican party will no longer be the party of Coolidge, lost in the cobwebs of history...”
Actually, being the party of Coolidge sounds just fine to me, and I bet old Cal would be mighty pleased with Ted Cruz right about now.
Timeless truths are timeless.
Rubio only "won" in the minds of the establishment pundits. Cruz only fared somewhat better.
Trump won the last 3 debates.
Time for Cruz to take the mantle. The only truly electable candidate the Conservatives have and who can actually beat Hillary. The Trumpoonery-Buffoonery needs to end and the others as well need to leave the stage.
Anti-Establishmentarianism is best delivered by Cruz.
Marco Rubio is now(buh bye Yeb) the defacto candidate of the Vichy Republicans and MSM so if he can fog up a mirror he will be proclaimed to be “ a fast rising candidate”
Too bad both Cruz and Rubio are running. They are splitting the same vote. If one were to drop out early enough, the other would break out of the pack. Either one would give the country a real choice against Hillary or whatever socialist the Democrats nominate.
So far, the debates are more about who loses and is voted off the island. Rubio only “won” because Jeb lost...really lost.
Huckabee was the other loser. Led by Fiorina, most agreed the government and government programs are not the solution.
So Huckabee then suggests a massive government program to solve the 4 big health problems.
Diabetes? 1) Tell people what they can and cant eat. No big gulp. 2) Genetics. Don’t let people with bad genes breed. Support Planned Parenthood in weeding out those who will die younger than average anyway. 3) You get the idea.
Huckabee is worse than Trump in not thinking thru his ideas before he opens his mouth.
Time for Jeb and Huck to go. And take Rand with them. I’m closer to Rand on many issues. But he clearly should run for the Senate and build a Mike Lee type to be the next Sen leader. KrispyKreme? Kasich? will anyone notice if they drop out or not? They compete with Gilmore now.
Delusional
Cruz is the rising star in this race.
Cruz is a force to be reckoned with.
Cruz is a force to be reckoned with.
This might be a “fun” article to read but it is way too optimistic and perhaps not quite accurate.
“The media will no longer be the agent of dominance in culture, agent of policy, agent of ideology and intimidation as it has incrementally grown to be since World War II.” That may or may not be true but one thing that is true is that the federal government will be - especially if/when we get another Democrat administration.
“The Democrats are at a disadvantage because they are not falling apart. They, with Ms. Clinton, are the same party they were in Chicago in 1968.” Not quite. In 1968 they were not all communists yet. Going forward, and they have already started, they will become the party of Islam. This has really blossomed under Obama. Yes, of course they don’t believe in it but they will use it to destroy our country and you and I. If this author thinks Donald or Ted or Marco will stop their advance or turn back all of the gains they have made, then he does not understand the totalitarian mind set.
I am leaning very strongly towards Cruz. He has the best combination of IQ and political instincts. He is too smart to let the MSM define him.
The main asset is that he seems to be a constitutional conservative.
