Once again Kasich proves his ignorance, Social Security is not an entitlement, it is a contract, we have all been paying into it since we started wworking.
No, Social Security Is not a contract.
Look up the 1960 Nestor ruling. If a recipient had a right to SS, their heirs would receive their remaining funds at their death. SS is whatever .gov decides to give you.
Here’s an idea, how about we pay it back? We have records of every penny that went into SS from it’s creation.
Exactly. I've 'donated' a couple hundred grand to SS and I expect a return.
I didn't have the choice to opt-out and surely would have had the option been there.
If the idea of giving money out and losing it was the plan I could have hired Bernie Madoff.
It is not a “contract” at all. SCOTUS ruled on that decades ago.

Sorry, CB, I disagree. I believe it is an Entitlement. This is my money and I am entitled to it. However, Welfare is not an Entitlement. People who have not paid into the system are NOT entitled. People are not entitled to food stamps. I AM ENTITLED to what I have paid into. That is my money. It is not a payroll tax, or else, government employees would have to pay. This is my forced retirement income. It is MINE. Again, I AM ENTITLED to my money.
We need to start forcing them to not to refer to other payments out as Entitlements. Like “Gay”, they have corrupted the word.
