"No, immigration reform is going to happen," said McCarthy, adding he prefers the "step-by-step method."

Oh geez, not another demolite running for Speaker. Why don't we just put Nancy P back in the role? We might as well have a real Democrat in the spot.

After you get him, you will find out that the new boss is the same as the old boss. The only thing changing will be the names.

"We have made real progress towards shrinking an overgrown federal government and reforming our broken entitlement system," McCarthy wrote. "But our work is far from done."

When did this happen?

What shrinkage? What reform?

"Far from done"? Hell, they haven't even started!

If the GOP establishment hacks elect this guy speaker it will prove they aren’t listening to the conservative base at all and should all be shown the door next election. Every last one of them who vote for this Boehner clone should be defeated.

"We have made real progress towards shrinking an overgrown federal government and reforming our broken entitlement system," McCarthy wrote.

Huh? I'm a political animal and know more than most people, except for many on this forum. I'm a strict Constitutional advocate and always looking for reformation back to its intended roots. What have I missed? What legislation has shrunk our Fedgov and/or reformed the entitlement system?

I read how the various departments, agencies, bureaucracies grow by the year through budget funding, including newly formed Fedgov entities. I also know that Opeaser did away with the "work for welfare" requirement and has added many to the roles since usurping the WH. Where have I been? Can anyone give me specifics regarding McCarthy's claims?

Why would you ever trust a politician from CA? Look at that horrid state.

I want to know if the rumors are true that McCarthy (married) is having an affair with Rep. Renee Ellmers (NC-2).

“Reform” means Increase Democrat Voting Strength.” McCarthy is working for the DNC.

How can they be ready to vote on an undefined immigration reform?

Are they afraid to tell the voters what "reform" they have in mind?

Somebody, please state the truth!

Their adultery is the biggest open secret in Washington DC. This should end any further consideration of McCarthy as Speaker.

McCarthy has called the current immigration system "broken" and "needs to be fixed," citing, "[42 percent] of everyone that's here illegally came here legally. We need to fix this system."

Weasel! Elect Louis Gohmert!

If they let McCarthy in, all the work to get Boehner out will be for a lost cause...two peas in the same pod....

“In regards to his three bills, which he is the primary sponsor, two legislations (H.R. 1384 and H.R. 667) relate to the naming of facilities and the third bill (H.J. Res. 129) appointed the day to convene the first session of the 114th Congress.”

Well, that’s certainly impressive.

This guy is politician from Kalifornia, this alone should be enough to evidence the fact he is a leftist. Does not matter what party he’s with. It will be his natural instinct to move the country in the same direction his own state is headed - the sewer. Same goes for Fiorina.
