Most Americans may watch The Apprentice - I never did. But as a NYer I knew him for 40 years. I don’t think he’s a perfect candidate - and I hope he continues to educate himself- but he is a real man with a strong character. That he has a heavy NY accent helps him in my case, as well.

Axelrod can’t acknowledge that rather than merely “playing an uber businessman and master manager an hour a week” Trump has actually been that for decades.
That those who have watched his show are more favorable toward him suggests that he has staying power in terms of likability, which is important in a presidential candidate—or president.

Anyone who watched Trump's Apprentice shows got to see that Trump treats everyone equally. I believe this should help with women and minorities.
I saw a fair number of episodes because of my kids' viewing habits.

I wonder if he has a chance to win his own state...
What do you think? I get the idea it’s very unlikely.

Well, Reagan did. But, I admit, it’s chancy.

Ivanka’s inlays are orthodox Jews as was his fathers partner. He is well thought of in that community. His father and he have worked with mob, ethnic tradesmen, for decades. The women in the family are all connected to the fashion industry. He has written 17+ books so he will well known in literary community. He has season tickets to sport events and is seen there (even participating in WWWW) He’s built ice rink and Veteran memorial.
And on and on. Trump is going to do just fine in NYC and thweefore NY state

He has a better chance than anyone since Reagan. I’ve always said that in union heavy NY, a candidate that took a hard line on illegal immigration could make a serious play for the state. Couple that with his performance among black voters and it actually could be a doable thing. Crazy to think about, but these are crazy times!
To: 2ndDivisionVet
If he gets the nomination, who is he going to nominate for VP: Kim Kardashian?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
If you want to win the uninformed voters, you have to go where the uninformed voters go.
Good for Trump!

You could argue if one hour of managing Gary Busey or Dennis Rodman qualifies one to handle ISIS or PutinActually, yeah.

One thing you notice with Trump....He actually listens. I noticed the same when he and his children were interviewing each other.
He also didn't tell the entrepreneurs what he thought they did wrong....he asked what THEY thought they did wrong.
I agree....awesome.
