Rove's central problem is too much misunderstood data. He knows how many identifiable segments of the public thought yesterday. He does not understand how to change those opinions. Hence he is constantly chasing after attitudes, with no clue what they really signify.
I have no personal hostility to the man; but after watching him since his abysmal incompetence in the 2000 campaign, it has become ever clearer that he is a terrible liability to Republican prospects and American interests.
I do not want to sound cruel; but over and over again, he has illustrated this basic failing.

Rove’s school is that magic words can allow ANYONE to win a race.
Magic words during the election and presto an election only conservative.
Candidates do not control, those with the gold control.

What exactly is Rove’s claim to fame? Winning two easily winnable Presidential races by skin of the teeth margins?
Rove’s reputation is a media creation. He has no real competence as a political manager.
