Admirable. Commendable.
As your nation crumbles around you and your people are harried by the new majority, at least you can say you stood on principle.
I guess you realized a long time ago that Hitlery & Billious had initially thought they *might* just set up a CLINTON DYNASTY at one time. Two terms for Billious (done), two terms for Algore, & then two terms for Hitlery, for a total of 24 yrs. of the magnificent CLINTON DYNASTY. - I guess Chelsea might fit into the Clintons’ wild, though interrupted, dream now - for a grand total of 32 yrs. of CLINTON UTOPIA! - (Ah! “The best laid plans of mice & men gang aft agley!” - Shakespeare, I think.)
Thank you. Common Core crosses Jindal off my list.
I have never agreed with you more.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT! He is the most charming and reasonable man I have ever seen. Do you think he is too smart for some people?
I was aiming for 99% public comprehension. 100% would have been unrealistic.
The entire Republican party is a “fake” conservative party. Why should the accusation against Trump offend anyone? I like the stances promoted by Trump.
That is how this country has always been saved.
Problem is we have had so many people in charge who do not have the slightest idea what a God-given principle is that they either easily go to the dark side or fall apart at the very first blow.
Holding onto principles and to be willing to fight for them is what tore down the Berlin wall, what influenced MLK to write his most famous speech from that jail cell, what encouraged the US to win every war without retreat from the American Revolution to WWII.
Principles gave us Washington, Lincoln and Reagan.
The principle that human life is precious and deserves protection causes us to become indignant at the thought that a taxpayer-funded entity deals in the sale of human bodies and lies about it.
So, you have a choice. You can either complain about people speaking out about the principles laid out in our Founding documents or you can figure out what is really ailing this country and act accordingly.
If the debate metrics are based obnoxiousness, loudness, and talking over your opponent, then you sir are correct. Also remember agressiveness can backfire if the judge (public) sees it as mean-spirited.
Cruz has wowed the SCOTUS his debating prowess. Trump wouldn't have a chance.
I would love for this to be true. I love Cruz. I know we still have a year to go so things will change in the months ahead. However, maybe the 2nd best role he could play would be to be the AG under Trump. There are a lot of people that need to be prosecuted and he would know how to do it and would have the motivation. His loss in the Senate would surely be felt, however.
May it give you all the attention you deserve.
What matters is not how smart the candidate is. What matters is his ability to get enough people to like him and trust him that they vote him into office. Say what you want about Obama and Bill Clinton, in public they came across as likable guys.
This is Trump's advantage -- despite his wealth, he comes across as somebody who I think I would enjoy having a few beers with. I think Walker would be a better President, but Trump is somebody I would enjoy an evening with.
There is another advantage that Trump enjoys: he is seen by women as an alpha male. Compare and contrast:
Jeb Bush and wife:
Trump, wife, and son:
you started it dude.....you jumped ugly unprovoked...it was well within my rights to refute your doubts the best way possible.....which I did. The irony is, your point about government experience - is exactly one of the main four or five themes of the book. Not only for the politicians themselves, but I went so far as to say staffers and consultants should come from outside Washington and outside politics in fact.
But yes, for a while, shortly after release, it was first (print) and third (ebook) - that’s a RARE double.
They might not consciously think it, but one impression that both men and women will have is "If he can attract and retain a wife like her, he must be a special man".
“Funny, I don’t recall asking whether you were dumb enough to support Trump. People like you, never learn and are completely unworthy of respect.”
I have plenty of company when I say I like Trump, a group composed of people who are very accomplished. Have you eclipsed the level of Rush or Mark Levin, for example, just to name two among the many millions? And those pictures of Newt are about as far out in left field as where you live.
What on earth makes you think I care whether or not an idiot like you thinks I unworthy of respect? An IDIOT like you defined as someone who launches an uncalled for name calling attack and contaminates the entire forum with your venom. Flake off.
You seem desperate to impress me. I would think with a captive audience and years of dedication you might have already impressed several.
I have.
I’m only motivated to educate the uneducated - and on this, you were demonstrably uneducated, and I demonstrated it.
You started it dude. Not me.
Cruz has all the technical debating skills down cold, skills that win in cold hard ‘facts only’ situations. Donald’s skills aren’t technical, but they’re persuasive to general audiences.
He’s loud, boisterous, domineering, in generally a friendly way for everyone except his target.
His target gets hit with the entire blast. Those are skills that Cruz doesn’t have, and those are the skills that will overshadow Cruz.
