Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is not exactly eating humble pie.
Just a few days after an extraordinary public scolding by three Republican Party leaders on the Senate floor, including fellow Texas Sen. John Cornyn, Cruz is continuing his aggressive anti-Washington campaign.
On Wednesday, he seized the spotlight at a Senate Armed Services Committee and sharply questioned Secretary of State John Kerry, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz on the nuclear agreement with Iran.
In the afternoon, Cruz chaired a Senate Judiciary Committee subcommittee hearing and railed at IRS Commissioner John Koskinen over his agencys targeting of conservative groups over their tax-exempt status.
But he is not limiting his firebrand tactics to Democrats.
The presidential candidate, who is polling just about in the middle of the pack of the 16 Republicans who are running, seems unrepentant for having called Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., a liar.
On Friday, Cruz accused McConnell of having lied about making a legislative deal that would allow a vote on the U.S. Export-Import Bank.
The breach of protocol stunned lawmakers and prompted a tongue-lashing Sunday from Sens. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, who as the longest serving Senate Republican has the honorific title, president pro tempore, and is third in line to the presidency.
In recent times the Senate floor has too often become a forum for partisan messaging and ideological grandstanding rather than a setting for serious debate, said Hatch. It has been misused as a tool to advance personal ambitions, a venue to promote political campaigns, and even a vehicle to enhance fundraising efforts.(continued)

He terrifies the left. In the Medellín v. Texas he faced down pressure from the Bush white house, the UN, and international court of justice to bring justice to the victims of a murdering illegal alien animal.
but tonight we begin with a man who i believe is the most dangerous politician on the american right. in october 2007 i sat in the media gallery of the united states supreme court and watched the solicitor general of texas argue on behalf of the state that he should have the ability to put to death a mexican national, jose, who had been convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls in houston. he won that argument and he was executed by texas on august 5th , 2008 , despite the objections of the united nations and the international court of justice . at the time, i had no idea who this man arguing on behalf of texas was. but all i could think was holy crap , this guy is good. it was one of his nine times arguing before the supreme court and he was witty, incredibly fast on his feet and clearly had a brilliant legal mind. it is to this day one of the most impressive displays i have ever seen before the court and i have had the good fortune to spend a lot of time there. so you can imagine my horror in 2012 when i tuned into the texas senate race. i hadn't been paying much attention to. and realized that lieutenant governor david dewhurst , the republican establishment candidate, was being prepared by a tea party candidate who was the same guy i saw kick ass in the supreme court in 2007 . i thought that night, night i made that connection, oh, this is trouble. and trouble that man has been. trouble in every direction. as he vies to be the singular voice of the right wing grassroots and as he has very quickly assumed a leadership role in movement. he's a man who combines the intellectual credentials and pedigree of barack obama , with the raw right wing populist appeal of sarah palin . his full name is rafael edward cruz.

Right, the author should check out Hatch, Cornyn and McConnell’s social sites.
They are getting absolutely Hammered for lieing and then trying to spin it afterwards.

You mean like Reid bashing the Koch brothers day in and day out on the Senate floor?

Makes me wanna cut the guy another check.I'm on a monthly schedule - minimum $35/month with the occasional $100 if checkbook looks healthy enough. (also on a $100/Qrtr for FR with 2 pops of $50 during each Freepathon so I can razz those who spout crap but don't appear to be putting any of their assets where their mouth is - they cut everyone down but support no one.
Go Cruz!
PS I use the url from 2ndDivisionVet's tagline for the Cruz donations so he gets credit as a bundler.
