There’s a group that is perfectly happy with a liberal GOP. A few of them even post here regularly. No, they are no more ‘conservative’ than Bill Clinton, but you can’t tell them that. They are rock ribbed American Patriots! They just are good with Mitch and Jonbon and Romney. Oh sure they complain about the country going to hell because of the things they belive and do but they’ll line up to vote for them anyway. And condemn anyone that won’t. Don’t let that blatant contradiction fool you...
If the old Reagan Democrats and conservative Republicans, with a few conservative Independents, ever got together, they could form a party twice the size of what remained of each of the Democratic and Republican parties. The new party could determine the direction of the nation for the next 2 dozen years or more.
But, if they dawdle until the Lib Dems and GOPelites get amnesty passed, even they will be a minority for the foreseeable future.
