“We need oil. Why not go to war for oil?”
The stupidest thing about that war is, we were accused of going to “war for oil”, and we’ll always be accused of that forever, no matter what we did, and we still didn’t take any damn oil.
If you are going to be convicted no matter what you do, you might as well do the crime!
It’s really a shame that we didn’t take their oil. Every other nation wants to claim Iraqi oil for themselves, and the Left only has a vendetta against Americans using Iraqi oil. It’s fine for either ISIS or Iran to use Iraqi oil, of course, because they are poor/Muslim/anti-American/[insert any other nonsense conceivable, because the Left has conceived it].
