I am afraid.
I am afraid that my rights to practice my religion openly are fast disappearing in this country and that I have become a target of hate and derision because I am a Christian.
I am afraid that the very fabric of our society the building block of every society the family, unequivocally defined as a marriage between a man and woman for the purposes of raising children, is being grossly undermined and destroyed.
I am afraid that my country has lost its rightful place on the world stage, as a shining beacon on a hill for democracy and freedom in a world that often cherishes neither.
I am afraid that my countrys ability to defend itself is waning as its means of defense is being dismantled and those who bear no allegiance and carry with them diseases and hatred for America are escorted freely into our countrys interior.
I am afraid that my country is losing its ability to say, I disagree with you, but I support your right to say it and is giving way to one which defiantly states, I disagree with you; now, I must destroy you.
I am afraid that my open support of a particular candidate will make me the target of many, even my very own government, because such support of the wrong political ideology makes me an enemy of the state, and that I will become a target of a leviathan which no longer secures the people or their Constitutional rights....

They won’t let me read past page 1 :(
Were you able to read the entire column?
I assumed it was excerpt only, but it looks like it’s not:
I am afraid for my country and I am afraid I am not alone.
But a wise man once told his followers repeatedly: Do not be afraid.
Therefore, I must not be afraid to say: I believe in my God, my faith, my religion and my Lord and Savior.
I believe that God has given his blessings upon this great country of ours.
I believe in American exceptionalism and that we can continue to be that shining light on the hill.
I believe in the promise of America.
And I believe that Ted Cruz is the right candidate for the office of the president of the United States.
I will not be afraid; I will not despair. For I fully believe that if every person of faith, if every person who loved America, and if every conservative had the courage of their convictions to openly support Ted Cruz and his candidacy, I believe he will be the next president of the United States and that he is right person to restore the greatness of our country.
I encourage others who share these same beliefs to put aside their fears, as I must mine, and support the candidacy of Ted Cruz for president now, before it is too late.
I believe we can do this because we have something that is greater than fear.
We have hope.
Replace “afraid” with “angry.”
"I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense." |
But, but, but, if your not for Scott Walker you unAmerican and don’t love America.... Sarcasm....
So as some Walker fans have accused me of... ( the big debate subject on that ? Legal Immigration )
Thanks. It starts off so wonderful, that I wanted to read the entire column :)
Thanks for posting. This writer is spot on. Ted Cruz is our last chance, IMO.
One difference.....rather than the Caesars beheading Christians and placing their heads on spikes...now it’s ISIL
If he's that fearful, he needs to go cower somewhere and leave the rest of us alone.

youre allowed
Your post speaks for me.
I was going to post something very similar.
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and a sound mind.”
I think you can be a Cruz fan or a Walker supporter. No big deal. This is all fodder until you can vote in the primary. May the best candidate win and we have ZERO idea who that will be at the moment. We can hope, wish, pray, meditate, whatever and still no one knows 100 percent sure who will get the nomination. So much yet to do before even a possible guess can be made. Starting with only 3 candidates running right now. We have a possible 17 more announcements to go through. That could be 17 weeks of talking about a certain candidate who announced that week. Yes much to get through.
I gave $25 to Cruz.
That’s cheap to buy into hope...
“Replace afraid with angry.”
Now you’re talkin’
I want someone to clear something up about Senator Ted Cruz. I have been told that he is a big supporter of Monsanto and the science of GMOs. I myself, understand that the scientific research done by companies like Monsanto will offer the next green revolution that will feed more people. However, there are those who will manipulate others with unscientific understanding to charge Cruz as being bought out by the big bad Monsanto, the producer of toxic food. I think this issue is looming over Cruz and hope someone has some insights.
