In fairness to the senator, every other candidate giving hints of running will also not deport overwhelming majority of illegals. Republicans are committing slow suicide by keeping illegals and importing 1 Million plus new immigrants every year.

If we’re gonna get on Scott Walker for his inconsistency on immigration the same needs to be said for Ted Cruz’s silly support for expanding the number of H-1B visas. He should be proposing legislation giving tax breaks and incentives to high tech companies and colleges and universities to train and employ American born tech workers. I’m tired of American companies getting engineers, doctors, and scientists on the cheap from overseas. An engineer from China and a computer scientist from India who are here on worker visas means two less high paying jobs for two Americans. That should anger all of us.

You are skipping a huge piece of information - ALL of the other candidates would pass amnesty. Walker has flipped in this issue 3 times, so he can’t be counted on to do the conservative thing.
But Cruz will NOT pass amnesty, no matter what it is called.
There is a huge difference between legal and illegal immigrants. HUGE. When one starts out being a criminal and does not contribute to this society, but instead takes from it - that is a pattern set for most of their lives and their children’s lives.
Those that come here with H-1B visas are usually educated, can speak English or have the IQ to pick it up quickly, and work legally and pay taxes.
Should be employ Americans instead of importing educated foreigners? Heck, yes! BUT the liberals have taken over education in our schools and our own kids are neither educated nor willing to work. They are taught an entitlement attitude in school. Just ask any employer.
So, until the education system is fixed, I’m ok with a temporary increase in LEGAL immigrants.

I believe he is on the record supporting the removal of welfare benefits to illegals. This alone will solve much of the problem.
I wish Cruz would appoint the excessed IRS employees to process deportations and deport on a massive scale, starting with those who have broken other laws.
