According to a Wednesday story in Bloomberg, the Ted Cruz for President Campaign has let it be known that a group of super PACs associated with the campaign expects to have $31 million in the bank by Friday. This feat is impressive considering that the Cruz campaign is not even two weeks old, and the super PACs in question were formed just this week. In the political fundraising game, this is what is called shock and awe.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is likely to be the champion fund raiser on the Republican side. But the news of Cruzs feat, considered unprecedented in American politics, alongside his brisk fundraising directly for his campaign, all but guarantees that he will be second. Whats more, it looks like Cruz is picking up establishment money support, at least insofar as his super PACs are concerned.
According to a person familiar with the workings and financing of the new super-PACs, many of the donors are former backers of George W. Bush and Perry. Bushs brother, of course, and Perry himself, are seeking the White House now, which makes Cruzs coup that much more impressive. Sure. It's a Texas thing. If they gave money to Jeb Bush, they'd have to take a back seat to Florida money.
yeah, its a load of oppo BS. CRUZ is gonna win
How Sweet It Is! A lot of pundits are eating their words! :):)
Let’s hope and pray the Establishment doesn’t corrupt Cruz with their money. Sort of a bad deal like the Iran deal. I don’t see Cruz backing down on his principals just for the sake of guaranteed power the way other RINOs would cave. Let’s hope he gets in and with all of his conservative convictions.
