“A serious candidate for president will have to raise at least $1 million per day between now and election day 2016.”
You mean like the the kind of money John McCain was raising at this time during the 2008 primary?
Money is important in politics but it’s equally important to remember why that is so:
Money is message.
There are other ways to get your message out. Rush selling Walker has been a huge help. Cruz’ rollout and all the talk surrounding it will also pop in upcoming polls. El Jefe’s free media has made a splash as well, but unfortunately for him, the major emphasis of his exposure seems to have been to point out his support for immigration and common core.
Money has its place. Ask Eric Cantor if that’s all you need. Hell, ask Juan McCain if that was the difference maker in 2008.
If money is the only barometer, then let’s stop pretending and coronate El Jefe now.
That's over $570 Million Dollars.
The candidate will be selected in July so there will be 3-4 months with party and pac help.
Me thinks you pulled your million dollar a day number out of some orifice.
