Ho, hum, what else is new? That was my first reaction when I saw a report that Susan Douglas, a professor of communications and department chair at the University of Michigan, had published an article titled Its Okay to Hate Republicans, in which she stated:
"I hate Republicans. I cant stand the thought of having to spend the next two years watching Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Ted Cruz, Darrell Issa or any of the legions of other blowhards denying climate change, thwarting immigration reform or championing fetal personhood."
According to the professor, Republicans exhibit the following psychological characteristics:
"[d]ogmatism, rigidity and intolerance of ambiguity; a need to avoid uncertainty; support for authoritarianism; a heightened sense of threat from others; and a personal need for structure."
To convince readers she isnt just spouting personal opinions, Douglas offered this:
"According to researchers, the two core dimensions of conservative thought are resistance to change and support for inequality. These, in turn, are core elements of social intolerance. The need for certainty, the need to manage fear of social change, lead to black-and-white thinking and an embrace of stereotypes."
These comments sparked outrage among campus conservatives and Michigan Republican Party officials. Evidently aware that UM is a public institution funded by taxpayers, school bureaucrats scrambled to provide cover....

Professor of Communications?
Did she get that doctorate on a Kellogs box or a Post box?
She is simply an ignorant slut who would fail miserably at any course requiring intellect (which obviously does not exist in her silly little department).
With Harry Reid gone, Obamas pen and phone governing style, no less dictatorial, will soon be seen for what it is: an impotent bluff... This assumes that Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader McConnell will give top priority to reversing key Obama initiatives.
The author is quite the humorist.
top priority to reversing key Obama initiatives, this dope doesnt care whether any of these intiatives work or not, she’s dedicated to them regardless, another useful idiot in a sea of useful idiots. The progressive socialist brainwashing of a generation has worked remarkably well

Where else can you earn a degree in “Communications”?
It’s not hypocrisy when Leftists do it - it’s speaking Vagi-truth to Patri-power.
“[d]ogmatism, rigidity and intolerance of ambiguity; a need to avoid uncertainty; support for authoritarianism; a heightened sense of threat from others; and a personal need for structure.”
Seriously? Like these fools don’t manifest their ideas and beliefs in this exact way? They are rabidly dogmatic, rigid and intolerant 24/7 about conservatives or even RINOs. One hypersensitive can complain and a Nativity scene has to be taken down. The Christmas luncheon at work is now a “Holiday” luncheon because of these twits. And so on. These are the most intolerant people imaginable. They go to war over the size of a soft drink cup. Or how many sheets of toilet paper you should wipe with!!
We can live with them counting their own sheets of toilet paper or using smaller soft drink cups or accepting blood donations from gay men for THIER medical care or going the extra mile to sing kumbaya with muzzies, or teaching your kids how awesome it is that Heather has two mommies. Just get the h*ll out of OUR lives and leave us alone to live how WE see fit!!
Ha...she has a degree in communications....
so would know that short wave radio communication has recently declined because of the lack of sunspots...
and resulting cooling of our planet earth.
Core differences between conservatives and liberals, according to TED talks:
* liberals are much harder to disgust compared to conservatives; they did brain scans to confirm it
* conservatives aren’t as much novelty seekers, whereas liberals crave it
* liberals in TED say they do not value in-group loyalty, then value identity politics based on race; they say they don’t value morality based on authority and then worship scientists and party leaders
* when it comes to the purity/sanctity moral facet, conservatives still hold to the sexual purity / limits while liberals have morphed it into apply to food like all natural, locally sourced, human chicken or vegan
* both groups however recognize the harm and care facets of morality, like don’t maim people, the difference in behavior comes to the differing views of “fairness” - liberals see fair as everyone equal, conservatives see fairness as equality of opportunity and application of law but not equality of results
The need for certainty, the need to manage fear of social change, lead to black-and-white thinking and an embrace of stereotypes.
Susan Douglas is a department chair. Thats because she isnt smart enough to be a department coffee pot. - blueunicorn6
OMG, that’s priceless!
Where else can you earn a degree in Communications?
Apparently wherever they have a football team. One of the favorite majors among the players.
Less & less I am regretting having never attended a college.
