My vote was Carly Fiorina.

"...the stock lost half of its value throughout her tenure.

Fiorina was forced to resign as chief executive officer and chairman of HP following “differences [with the board of directors] about how to execute HP’s strategy."

Those are the same deal breakers that killed her last election bid. They're going to prove to be insurmountable for any future run she's contemplating, unless she can somehow find a way to prove through personal performance that she really does have the right stuff.

1. She seems to be the least boring?
2. The article implied that despite the loss of 50% in value HP weathered the bust of the dotcom bubble.
3. Was she ousted from the board for political reasons like the Netscape guy, rather than legit business issues?
4. We deserve a Chief Executive Officer this time around.

I don’t think the drop in stock value during the tech bubble burst was her fault. As I’ve said elsewhere, I think we’ll need a woman to win, and if she has a chance then I’ll support her.
