We’ve got 3 weeks till the election. With Ebola and ISIS and the way Obama’s support is melting away by the day, there is plenty of time for support for the Democrat party to collapse. November could get very nasty for the Democrats - despite the Republican screw-ups and despite the vote fraud.
Did I just see a story the other day that the GOP had just CANCELLED a big ad buy in Michigan?
I heard yesterday the RNC was pulling all ads for Terri Lynn Land.
If that is the case, the Terri Land must be too conservative.
Yeah but ya gotta figure, Land has been very aggressive in opposing amnesty. She also supports returning the power of infrastructure to the states (keep taxpayer money within the states) She supports full repeal of Obamacare.
All the things that make the GOP nervous.
I don’t think she’s actually hurting for money but every dollar helps. Plus it wouldn’t hurt for other big names to help out.
A few of the people I’ve called on to say a few words or come stand with us.

Mmmm.......benefit-of-the-doubt thought.
Could be internals show Land so far ahead, ads would be a waste of money?
Michigan?
wow.. that’s pretty deep into Democrat territory... if the race is even close in Michigan, we have the Senate for sure.
The NRSC should be pouring money into this race. However, the base apparently is not giving much (wonder why?), and the NRSC is having to spend to try to drag Roberts in Kansas and other NRSC favorites across the finish line.
Kansas, Georgia, Louisiana, and North Carolina should be slam dunks and the Gutless Old Party should be concentrating on trying to pick off MI, NH, and blue and purple state seats.
But, of course, Karl Rove knows best.
With the dual threats of Ebola (especially if it directly affects Central America and ISIS, it’d seem to me any candidate who stresses a secure border would be a shoo-in.
But then... half of Americans have no clue what all the fuss is about.
Good point. +1
You’ve been having bloody marys for breakfast I surmise??
No-—double vodka martinis.
Er, no.
How political corruption deepened Detroit's crisis

Kwame Fitzpatrick mug shot.
Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to 28 years in prison for running a "money-making racket" out of city hall that steered millions to himself, his family and friends while the impoverished city hobbled along. VPC
His father also went to jail----as a bagman for Kwame.
(In an earlier corruption incident--not related to Kwame's corruption---his mother a Democrat Congressman went to jail).
In March, Kwame Kilpatrick was convicted on 24 of 30 counts of extortion, racketeering, bribery. Prosecutors had argued he deserved stiff sentence because he never thought he did anything wrong
DETROIT Seven months after the historic conviction of Detroit's former mayor on wide-ranging public corruption charges, Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced Thursday to 28 years in prison for running what the government called a money-making racket out of City Hall.Kilpatrick had steered millions to himself, family and friends while an impoverished Detroit hobbled along, prosecutors said.
Kilpatrick, 43, was found guilty March 11 on 24 of 30 counts of corruption, including five counts of extortion, racketeering, bribery and several mail, wire and tax fraud charges. On three counts he was found not guilty, and on the remaining three no verdict was reached.
In this case, the overarching issue is that public officials are responsible to the citizenry, Edmunds said. "One thing is certain," she said. "It was the citizens of Detroit who suffered."
Edmunds said Kwame Kilpatrick took bribes, misused nonprofit funds and "used his power as mayor ... to steer an astounding amount of business (said to be some $35 million)" to his friend and co-defendant, Bobby Ferguson, who also was convicted on charges of running a racket out of the mayor's office.
Text messages and witnesses bolstered allegations that Kilpatrick's relationship with Ferguson whom the government has called the key player in the pair's extortion scheme was at the heart of the criminal activity. Federal prosecutors are seeking a maximum 28-year prison sentence for Ferguson.
He chose to waste his talents on personal aggrandizement and enrichment. We lost transparency. We lost accountability. Judge Nancy Edmunds, U.S. District Court said she will recommend Kilpatrick be sent to a prison in Texas, where his family lives, and told Kilpatrick that he can appeal. Restitution will be determined later, and a hearing will happen within 90 days.
The judge said Kilpatrick lived the high life, hosting lavish parties, accepting cash tributes and loading the city's payroll with friends and family.--SNIP--
Conservatism has nothing to do with it. Likelihood of winning does. IF the Republicans win Michigan, they will likely be somewhere in the 55 to 58 seat range. It's really a third-tier race at this point. Hence money is being poured into more winnable seats like Iowa and Colorado.
