If Newt -OR- Santorum dropped out, Mitt would have lost.
No unity among conservatives. Too much ego.

No unity among conservatives. That is our downfall.

I'm not sure Newt is really much more Conservative than Mitt. Hes a gadfly, he floats from topic to topic and forms alliances to support his current interest. And of course there is his personal life.

Santortum? He's anti-death penalty, he's against "libertarianish" Republicans ""libertarianish right," saying "they have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do. Government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulation low and that we shouldn't get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn't get involved in cultural issues, you know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world, and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can't go it alone.

He's a bleeding heart liberal who wants to save Africa from itself - with our tax dollars, like the current occupant and like Bush.

On the positive side he's against amnesty and other plans to legalize the invaders. He's pro guns, and anti-climate change.

I would say he is probably more conservative than Mitt.
