No doubt, but the horse isn’t going to get up for them....and neither will Romney be able to pull out a win in 2016.

Why? The evangelical community will NOT vote for him, period. The Mormons are not considered a mainline denomination but a cult in most Christian mainline churches, and although they may not be prejudiced against him personally or even like his personality, they still will not be able to overcome what they have been taught.

The Catholics will not vote for Romney in droves this time either. He was a loser, that’s important now. For the religious right to vote for someone they have to be within a scope of their acceptability, in fact, they would vote for an atheist before someone they consider outside the mainstream of Christianity. Maybe not spoken out loud, but definitely an influence internally for most. Radical Islam has made everyone weary of a too religious candidate from any denomination.

Then take the atheists/agnostics, the outspoken and open political spectrum of Romney’s religion will turn them off.

Add to that the Massachusetts Romney Health Care that resembles Obama care and the millions of Americans with cancelled insurance policies...I do not see Romney pulling this off....no way, no how.

Now, I do see Chris Christy being able to overcome the bridge scandal, and I see Walker in Wisconson being able to show well in the midwest. I think McCain has lost all those interested in him when he ran with Palin. Palin cannot overcome her issues with American RINOs or other voters and she is in the platform God gave her, as a ‘Kingmaker’ critic...an open mike for evaluating candidates and it’s a protection for her family...if she is not running. I like her a lot, but I do not think she would be able to win a Presidential election.

I don’t know anything about Cruz, except what I read here on FR...I believe Jeb Bush would be a terrible mistake, even as a VP candidate at this time. AS an independent myself I am not pleased with anyone on the Republican list right now, but I’m researching. I think Rand Paul is too wishy washy.

The Democrat platform will be someone to carry on the Obama insanity. Hillary? Biden? or ?? Not no, but h$&& NO.

I’ll be surprised if the Republicans come up with a great candidate due to the pick for replacing Cantor, they can’t seem to think outside the box.

Why?

Just because his chosen religion has said a few things about the?

SURELY SLC has recanted and backed away from a few old rants; right??

"Both Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the 'whore of Babylon' whom the Lord denounces by the mouth of John the Revelator as having corrupted all the earth by their fornications and wickedness. Any person who shall be so corrupt as to receive a holy ordinance of the Gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent"

 (The Seer, p. 255  Orson Pratt )

Surely any modern, thinking person would NOT hold these remarks against Mitt!

I'm sure, if he were asked directly, that he would DIS-AVOW these quotes.
