Didn't you kind of know he'd look something like that?

I'd be all for eliminating all transfer payments, but as it stands they can spend it on casinos and Hawaiian vacations. Why not guns?

Okay, but what do you define as a “transfer payment?” Veteran’s benefits? Social Security retirement?

Dunno ‘bout guns, but I’m okay with ammo.
Guns have to be fed, too...

Anything not funded by actuarial-defined payments to an investment account from which benefits are paid is a transfer payment/pyramid scheme and will be abolished by reality at some point in the future, no matter how sacred you believe the particular transfer payment you receive to be.

Yeah, most of ‘em are headed my way, if U-Haul, Penske, Budget, Pods and professional moving vans are any indication.

Let me understand this, though. I became disabled in the service of this country and you’re saying that my monthly allotment is a pyramid scheme? Do I have that right?

You love to take personal offense and bully up, don't you?
If you are receiving a payment that is not funded by regular contributions to an investment account, it is a transfer payment, by definition. Period. Exclamation point.
What this means to you in reality is that you will continue to get your transfer payment far into the future, but after the triple-digit inflation kicks in that will be required to pay back the "stimulus," you'll be able to buy a couple of McDonald's hamburgers a month with it. If you're lucky.
That's reality. I'm just the messenger.

Speaking of taking personal offense. I’m just trying to get it through my head that at a supposed “conservative” site I am being lumped together with ghetto trash, meth-dealing hillbillies, welfare queens, moochers and assorted other riff-raff as being a taker, while you, who I’m guessing thinks of himself as one of the beknighted and put-upon producers shakes his head at all the bums gettin’ them transfer payments.

I'm not lumping you in with anybody. You're the one doing that. I just explained to you what a transfer payment is. The rest is all yours.
