After due research, this is my voting list. I came back special to Midland for this vote, so want to make sure I am correct:
Would appreciate comments and concerns:
1. Senate --- Stovall (close second, Stockman) The Great Cornholio is a disgrace with what he said and has done to Cruz. He's got to go.
2. Governor --- Greg Abbot
3. Lt. Governor -- Dan Patrick (Do worst has to go)
4. Attorney General ---- Gen Paxton
5. Comptroller --- Harvey Hildebran, hands down (Met Glenn Hegar -- VERY unimpressed.)
6. Commisioner GLO --- David Watts. George P Bush is a nice kid, but I am sick to death of Bushes. Knocking him out will potentially keep Jeb from running for President, as it demonstrates Bush-fatigue.
7. Railroad Commissioner -- Ryan Sitton. He's an engineer, very pro-business, smart guy. I've met him and am impressed.
8. Supreme Court --- Hecht, Brown, and Johnson
9. State Senator -- reluctantly voting for Mike Cannon. I know Mike; don't particularly care for him, but the voting record of Kel Seligar is marginal, at best.
Also voting against my Congressman, Mike Conaway. He's marginally OK, but was a big Myth Romney supporter, so I am going for Brown.
I remember talking to Conaway at some function in Midland, and he was very squishy talking to me....basically said there was nothing to be done to combat Obama.
Agreed.
“Im supporting Todd Staples for Lt Gov. I cannot vote for Dan Patrick. Hes a flip flopper AND he endorsed David Dewberry as the TRUE conservative against Ted Cruz, in the last Senate race.”
This is the kind of thing I want to know about. You may have switched my vote.
Love to change your mind about RRC. I am in the oil and gas business and we need an engineer up there who actually “gets” the business.
I know Jerry Patterson. He’s pretty much an establishment Republican. Nice guy.
(Keep in mind I am a New Mexican in the oil business. All I care about is your Railroad Commish. I like Ryan Sitton.)
Did the list the same when i voted today but Patrick has some diry laundry lately in Breitbart so I went for Staples
OK, so switching to Staples.
Otherwise, any comments? Going to the polls tomorrow.
I have a strong like of Sitton also.
Ping for you advise and consideration.
Conaway used to be my rep. I got the same impression.
Sadly, I don’t live in Texas. I’m fighting the battle here in Colorado.
Whoever will work and fight to keep the government out of our lives, and away from our guns.
Thank you. This helps with my research (which I have not yet done!)
(((ping))) for later. Still working on my list. Anyone seen a current sample ballet for Tarrant county yet?
If either of you know of other Texans to ping to this thread, please do so.
I trust the input of a jury of Freepers more than any other source.
FORCING A RUNOFF WOULD GENERATE TONS OF FREE ADVERTISING
and fear of the TEA party
and if there is NOT a runoff, they will say “The TEA party is dead”
self ping for later.

Ask and ye shall receive. Knock and it is opened unto you:

Wait! Sorry, that was two years old. Tarrant county needs to get its act together.
There is a reason why those other guys are slinging twenty year old + mud up against the wall hoping something will stick!
I’ve known and liked everyone in this race for years! Went to campaign school with Staples before he was first elected to the Texas house. Jerry Patterson since he was a city councilman in Pasadena. And Dan Patrick since he worked for KHOU TV in Houston and painted himself blue for Oiler football games (Long before he ever entered the realm of politics) and know him to be a good man who does what he says he will do! He says he will change the way the Texas senate works. That needs to happen and I believe he will see that it does!!
I don’t like the fact that it currently takes 21 of 31 senators to approve before ANY senate bill can come up for debate thus giving the democrats the ability to kill anything they wish even with a senate make up of 20 Republicans and only 11 Democrats! Only Dan Patrick wants to end that!
I don’t like the Lt. Governor appointing Democrats to chair key committees ( the place where GOOD legislation goes to die) in the Senate when there is a LARGE Republican majority in that body as Dewhurst has repeatedly done. Both Staples and Patterson have said that they would continue this practice!
I’m voting for Dan Patrick for Lt. Governor and now you know why!
You can do as you please! At least you are now informed!
Could we get you to take a look at Todd Staples instead of Dan Patrick for Lt. Governor?
Patrick only gets his conservative boots on at election time. Definitely not a friend of Ted Cruz. Cruz, by the way, is a great fan of Staples. Hotze is solidly behind Patrick and anyone that Hotze selects is not a friend of true Conservatives. Lt. Governor is one of the most powerful positions in Texas. Would hate to see Patrick in that spot.
