The GOP thinks they can win by becoming democrats.

Bortz is wrong. Why bother voting for anyone that doesn’t at least stand for trying to repair some of the things that Obama and Company have broken? We saw what happened in the last two presidential elections with millions and millions of voters just staying home.

The Dems just have to sit back and let these useful idiots do their work for them.

What is it with the demoralization of the libertarians? Their dope push is only going to empower Obamacare government control.

Have voted solid Republican since 1984. Boortz makes me question that choice
To: 2ndDivisionVet
You would think the history of the Whigs would at least give them pause to consider that this might not end well.
Much like the Freesoilers I'm reaching out to the disaffected left and explaining that the tea party won't give them everything they want but we'll give them more of what they want than the democrats will.
The democrats use them and stir them up over cronyism and corporate welfare but they never quite get around to doing anything about them. The tea party is under fire from the US chamber of commerce because they know we mean it when we say we want a level playing field and an end to corporate subsidies etc.

Guys like Boortz do far more harm than good by giving credibility to leftist lies and shibboleths.
He thinks his opinions are edgy and hip but in reality they've lost a lot of currency over the past decade or so.

Boortz has always been a repulsive, cowardly rodent. He originally downplayed the Tea Party movement until he realized he could use the venue to push his fair tax book. He trashes the pro-life movement, but was too cowardly to ever accept a call challenging him on it.
IMHO, in the few times I ever tried to give him a listen, I got the impression he was party to an abortion or two along the way and didn't want to face the truth of what he'd done...

RATS = Party of abortion, free condoms, and gay marriage buys votes from the sewer dwelling American public. IT WORKS AND IT WILL WORK AGAIN IN 2014. The GOP is so over unless it grows a pair.

I got to hear this yesterday (a nice surprise,as an Atlanta Boortz listener before he retired), and it occurred to me that "conservative" voters cannot separate political and "social" values from their candidates. I can't, at least. A candidate's position on social values is an important measurement of his overall beliefs.
I understand Boortz' point that we need fiscally conservative politicians who can leave social issues alone, but those aren't the candidates that win votes (if they did,Libertarians might actually be a viable party).
And he's wrong about abortion - a "woman's right to choose" extends only to the extent that she chooses to engage in recreational sex. If that "choice" results in the creation of another human being, she has no right to determine whether that child lives or dies simply to excuse herself from her actions.

That’s what’s wrong with the Republican party. They just want to be the bullies’ friend. The GOP believes if they will just ignore the cancer that is destroying their body and killing our country, it will just go away and the minorities will love them.

I guess someone listened to Boortz yesterday. I heard first five or ten minutes of it, and remembered why Boortz is boring. There are Republicans who are Republicans only because they want to pay lower taxes, and that’s the Boortz crowd in a nutshell.
