So what is the main difference between the Huffington Post article, shared 2,300+ times, and our post, which elicits a ban? As near as I can tell, one is from a conservative website, and one is from a liberal website. One is pro-abortion, while the other one mocks the pro-abortion writer.
Is there something more going on here with Facebook? We havent heard similar stories of censorship from the left side of the aisle. And yet, there seems to be an emerging trend for conservatives on Facebook.
Fox News reporter Todd Starnes was recently banned from Facebook for what he dubbed as politically incorrect commentary on the issue of guns.
Jeff Dunetz, a conservative blogger at the popular site The Lid writes, I have had 4 of my articles removed as abusive in the past week.
The wildly popular and hilarious conservative commentator, Steven Crowder, had a video which parodied the star witness in the George Zimmerman removed as a violation of hate speech policies.
Amy, whose Twitter profile says vote conservative, was recently blocked for having the audacity to suggest prayer in a comment.
There have been other, similar stories as well.
So what is going on here, if not a crackdown on conservative commentary at the leading Social Media website?

I am not on Facebook, but according to family member who are, the answer is YES, YES, YES and YES!
My wife claims her anti-Obama postings all get removed within 2 minutes. Zuckerberg & Co. are fully in the tank for Obama, as are just about all the Bay Area Techies.
Rumor has it that Facebook is hiring IRS employees wanting part time second jobs to moderate Facebook post. They must be using the same template they use in their IRS job.
I don’t use it all that much, and I almost never post political commentary on Facebook, but I’ve found plenty of conservatives and conservative sites over there.
Conservative alternatives to Facebook include the Tea Party Community and the Freedom Connector.
I post a lot of politically incorrect stuff up there. Mostly anti-Socialist/anti-Obama and gun nut stuff.
If I get banned? They kinda prove one of the points I’m trying to make.
Still, their site... their rules. Just like here.
Happens to my image postings of the ‘O’ as well.
They don' like your kind.
Do you remember segregation? It's the same band, same tune, just in a different key in a new venue.
It's from the same folks who brought you: Get to the back of the bus. That's not your drinking fountain, bathroom, etc.
With crap like this up, there’s no doubt in my mind anymore that FB is biased:

Just as soon as I make sure I have copies of the important stuff I want, I’m done with them.
Oh, and don’t bother reporting it. They’ve already seen it reported, and FB’s response is:
Status: This page wasn’t removed
Details Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel
may violate our Community Standards. Reports like yours are an important
part of making Facebook a safe and welcoming environment. We reviewed
the page you reported for containing credible threat of violence and found
it doesn’t violate our community standard on credible threat of violence.
Madison Rising said on Fox and Friends this morning that their rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” was pulled.
I post all of my political stuff there, and I haven’t seen any signs of censorship(yet). I must not be trying hard enough. Let’s see if this article gets blocked.
I do have an individual FB page but it has nothing on it whatsoever. Nothing. Completely blank except for my name. But I have this FB account only so I can get access to a conservative FB group where anti-Obama postings, comments and images are the norm. I post some blistering criticism of Obama and anti-liberal stuff there all the time. But FB has pulled none of it. It is a closed group, open only to invited members and can’t be seen or read except by those members. It is all conservative information. No liberals post because they are not invited.
So far we have not experienced any anti-conservative controls by FB.
My Facebook account was deleted the minute Ohio was announced for Obama.
Yes,
This week I was banned for 12 hours for a post about the “Oueer” flag flying over Safeco Field in Seattle. Seems the good people at facebook think the word queer is hate speech.
Anyone know how to contact them?
The best thing you can do is close your Facebook account, your childrens Facebook account and put a rule in your home router to block all access from Facebook.
That’s what I’ve done and I’m happier for it.
“Are Conservatives Being Systematically Blocked on Facebook?”
Impossible. Hasn’t Zuckerberg been bankrolling the pro-amnesty radio ads run by Americans for a “Conservative” Direction?
I don’t get the connection. Why would your FB account be deleted because Obama won Ohio? Maybe I am too slow on the uptake here. Was there something posted on your page that triggered it? Were you in violation of some secret-sauce FB rules?
I have many conservative friends from school who post their conservative views on their pages but have never been bothered. Once in a awhile something won’t work right in posting an images or the like, but that appears to be some function of FB not working right, not that the image itself is overtly conservative or anti-Obama.
But to have your entire account deleted, there must have been a reason. Like I said I have an account and so do many of my conservative friends and their accounts weren’t deleted simply because Obama won Ohio in the last election. There is something else at play here.
I think he meant he deleted it in disgust for Ohio.
Haha..no. I deleted my account. I didn’t want to go through what is happening now. I figured it would be easier to delete my account rather then have Facebook do it for something I might say.
Best thing I ever done.
