The best thing you can do is close your Facebook account, your childrens Facebook account and put a rule in your home router to block all access from Facebook.
That’s what I’ve done and I’m happier for it.
Ironically, I joined it because my family was communicating through Facebook and I wanted to be in on everything. It caused nothing but trouble.
