I’m not watching any of the convention, but will be watching the debates. I had originally decided not to vote at all, but as time went on, I realized that I couldn’t do that to my country. I’d hold my nose and vote for a turd as long as it meant that Bambi would be gone. This country doesn’t need 4 more years of our military under Obama’s control, 4 more years of his executive orders, 4 more years of Holder’s Injustice Department, 4 more years of Obama aiding the Islamists in the destruction of Israel, and 4 more years of that ugly vacationing Wookie in those disgusting clothes. That in itself should motivate people to get to the polls.

Semper Fidelis to you, though I dont qualify to state that honor...Yes, you do. The motto is not merely to be stated, but to be lived. You did your part when called and you went where you were sent. My father was an Army infantryman in WWII (Africa, Italy, France, Belgium & Germany), and twice wounded, so I've got a warm spot in my heart for my dogface brothers. I'll tip a glass of bourbon toward Illinois, with best wishes to you and yours...

I was a good speech, the best delivery Ive seen Romney give, but vague on details. For example I have a plan to create 12 million jobs in America. That was the one line that made me cringe......A President does not create jobs, he creates the environment that allows private companies to create jobs, but he has no control over the number, only businesses know how many jobs they can create.

I don’t take Romney as our political answer to our problems as conservatives, but he’s a sound businessman, knows how to balance budgets, has picked the right VP for that need, is a solid family man, loves America. What’s not to get excited about in this 2012?
So, I’m willing to give him a chance. Still not happy with his religion (for personal reasons), but that’s OK as long as it doesn’t become prominent. I’m behind the ticket. And happily so.

Mitt's leaned right a tad and not for political expediency. He's smart enough to have seen what liberalism has done to America the past four years, let alone some of his Bain businesses. And if he were the liberal some FReepers say he is NOW, he'd not chosen Ryan as his running mate. He would've chosen Rubio.
Yes it's possible he's just another NWO puppet like 0bama, but if that's the case we're spinning our wheels.

There is an incredible amount of capital sitting on the sidelines waiting to be invested under predictably stable conditions, and a vast amount of energy reserves waiting to be tapped. Romney knows that if government will get out of the markets, allow America to exploit its huge energy reserves, and quit taxing and regulating commerce to death, then the free market will do what only it knows how to do.

McCain acted like he didn’t even know where the hell he was, let alone why he was there.
He -gave- us Obeyme, IMO.

I'll tip a glass of bourbon toward Illinois, with best wishes to you and yours...And so will I with you any time. Your father, my father-in-law, have given far more than their time (which is what I gave). I can't imagine their sacrifice even though discussing it with him. I can only hope to find a true explanation, and some final answer for the family.
Yet, to you and yours, a blessed life, a life with honor, knowing your sacrifices as duty to America. God Bless!

Good, actually just acceptable. Compare this to Reagan's acceptance speech of 1979 and you will know the difference between good and great. He did not rip into Obozo enough, but perhaps that is yet to come, at least I hope so. My thought? I think he is still afraid of going for the jugular.

To be fair, Jimmy Carter was an easier target, by then, even the liberals hated him.

Nail>hit. There's so much energy pent up in business, the energy markets, Americans in general, it won't be hard to open the tap with the right pressure points. We've all been waiting for the right "stimulus" to come from Washington. And not the monetary kind; the right business model. Oh, boy. Would that be a stimulus...
