On a village green in The Woodlands, north of Houston, Friday evening, an enthusiastic crowd of approximately a thousand tea partiers joined U.S. Senate hopeful Ted Cruz in a “Yes, We Can” chant parodying the current occupant of the White House and gave a rapturous welcome to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who told the crowd that those “who cling to our guns, God and Constitution” have a friend in Cruz.
A relaxed Cruz, wearing boots and faded Levis, his wife Heidi standing on an outdoor stage with him, told the crowd on a hot, sultry evening they had the power to restore the U.S. Constitution, retake the U.S. Senate, retire Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid, repeal Obamacare and “retire President Barack Obama.” The crowd responded with a long ovation. “That, my friends, is change we can believe in.”
Palin, who endorsed Cruz before the May primary, also mocked Obama, who predicted during a recent Texas trip that the Lone Star State soon would become “a battleground state.”
“There will be an Alaskan-sized blizzard on the Brazos before Texas turns blue for Barack,” said Palin, who wore dark sunglasses and black boots given to her by Gov. Rick Perry, who’s backing Dewhurst. Palin assured the crowd they would all be back on the same team after Tuesday....

I know this is true because Dewhurst is saturating my FNC feed (at least here in Central TX) with spots showing the departed kid's sobbing mother blaming Cruz.
And now Sarah is supporting a child killer? What gives?

The kid committed suicide about 1 1/2 years before Cruz even represented Mericle in a civil appeal against an insurance company.

Here’s more context on Ted’s remarks than the distorted ads:
One, they could present to the court that Mericle bribed the judges to build the facilities, but had no knowledge, no awareness of the quid pro quo of the ongoing bribes by Powell to wrongfully sentence juveniles. Now, under that interpretation, which is entirely consistent with the facts, and is consistent with how they pleaded it, Mericle would be held liable not for willfully violating the rights of the juveniles, because what Mericle pleaded guilty to, which was paying the judges and then not affirmatively telling the IRS that he was aware the judges had mischaracterized their income for tax purposes. The victim of that crime was the IRS, it was the federal treasury. It wasn’t the kids.
I’m worried now after reading about Dewie’s self financed new ads coming out this weekend..and appearances with Perry and other GOP-E’s ...should I be or is this just desperation?

Well, the entire Republican leadership has caved on DOMA. This pretty much reflects elite opinion in the Country, and Cornyn is part of the Beltway Establishment which always follows the lead of the elite.

The obama luvin' romney haters, {of course we all know that obama and romney are the same} have succeeded in driving away {or at least decreasing their posting} many FReepers that are going to support mittens.
