My 4th great grandmother was 10 years old when she was arrested and put in a rebel prison...Fort Dayton, Albany, NY...
So it must be her 65 year old grandmother you are talking about...
Yes she was my age and in that same prison...
Her invalid son died when the rebels burnt down her trading post...
a teenage granddaughter was raped and died in the prison..
Surely you dont mean the other women in the family ???
Well they were in their 40s but thankfully also in prison where they couldnt harm the brave rebel soldiers...
Meanwhile another female ancestor and 4 other women walked from Pennsylvania to Canada with their children...
Gosh I had some dangerous desparadoes back then...
Your innocent ancestors were right to put them in prison and drive them out...
Confiscating their rich farmlands of course...
My ancestors also fought in that war and some died, will you call them murderers because we won the cause?
I’m sorry your ancestors suffered during the revolution, but war is war and hell on all involved. I can say I am happy the Patriots won the day and that we have this beautiful nation we call home. It is a shame that there are some that wish to see it destroyed.
I will carry on as my ancestors did and do all I can to remain a faithful Patriot.
