The establishment GOP controls the convention. Anyone who thinks a brokered convention will result in anyone except Romney is fooling themselves.

We either win this at the ballot box or conservatism and the Tea Party have been silenced in 2012.

If both the Newtster and the Mittens delegates don’t fold then both are forced to agree upon a third option, often a person who doesn’t even want the position but also someone who has earned the respect of all.

If the guy couldn't put Gingrich away after all that much time & money spent, would they dare hand to Mitt anyway? Seems foolish.

I agree. I suspect alot of folks think that the brokered convention may cause Mitt to choose some red meat rightwinger as VP to appease the conservative base, but I’m not too sure, and I’m not sure it would even matter anyway.
