The gloves have come off by the other candidates now in response to all of the mudslinging being done at the hands of the Romney and Paul campaigns so the New Hampshire Primary is proving to be a little more contested than originally thought and is proving that it may not be the coronation that Mitt Romney expects. I came fairly close with my predictions for Iowa, correctly nailing that Bachmann would end her race by the end of the week and calling Mitt Romney the winner, albeit by 8 votes. I thought Santorum would run fourth, but did expect that a lot of last minute decision makers would choose him and Newt Gingrich. I was half right. I didn't fully gauge how $17 million dollars worth of negative campaign ads would affect the Speaker's campaign.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Romney will win. There is no question. And rightly so. He was Governor of a neighbor state and got a lot of free news airtime as Governor across borders. Further he owns a home here now. However, I don't think there is going to be this gigantic groundswell of Romney supporters rushing to get him the nomination. Look for him to top out at about 28%

Specs on Fox News exit numbers for late deciders:
Romney 29% Huntsman 24%
MItt will EASILY win as the other three CHOSE to go into SELF DESTRUCT MODE. Bashing capitalism isn’t becoming to entitlement minded Newt. I also wouldn’t be surprised if someone from Obama’s camp gave Newt the 5 million to see more SELF DESTRUCTION within the GOP as IS going on. It’s now PERSONAL and far from being about “issues”.
Huntsman clearly has momentum. I hope it’s enough.
You should have posted the entire article, but you won’t because you are a blog pimp.
That is a shame, because I would have loved to have read your predictions, along with the other thousand that have been posted (but they posted all of theirs, unlike you).
Nothing will be enough. Romney has the organization. He has the money. He has a plan. Everyone else is lacking one or more of these critical, "must have to win" components. Consequently, the entire primary process is really just Romney going through the motions to get the nomination. I have read that every step of the way is orchestrated by the Romney team. Professional presidential candidates have always done this. Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan, Obama, etc. The fix is in. Romney isn't trying to beat his opponents. He's really working 24/7 on beating Obama.
Sounds like Romney, with Paul close #2, and Huntsman distant rrd with Santorum/Gingrich vying for #4, and Perry a distant #6. Pretty much what one would expect, except maybe Paul’s showing in NH.
We have to stop that trashy Romney guy.
Romney will do anything to beat his republican opposition as we have seen, and saw in 2008, then he will try to destroy conservatism as he has done all his life.
