Texas leads the nation in minimum-wage jobs, and many positions don't offer health benefits. Also, steep budget cuts are expected to result in the loss of more than 100,000 jobs

From 2007 to 2010, the number of minimum wage workers in Texas rose from 221,000 to 550,000, an increase of nearly 150 percent.
Hmmm, perhaps a "cluster of carpers" or just "carper cluster" instead.
1st, if you have the most jobs you're going to have a lot of lower-paying jobs in the mix. By creating tons of new jobs and attracting companies and new businesses to your state, you'll have the whole range of jobs. There are fewer top-paying jobs in most companies than there are lower-paying jobs. But that's common-sense.

But Texas has also seen a population boom since 2007. The number of working age residents grew by 6.6%, nearly twice the national average.
This explosive growth means that Texas would need to create another 629,000 jobs, or 5.6% more positions, just to reach its pre-recession employment level, when factoring in this population growth, according to the institute.

Seriously. Not some lame talking point. I’d like an answer out of your own brain.

I don't have to hate an opponent to prefer a different candidate. I know you think the same way.
Gingrich has some baggage, but he has a great resume and has been willing to see an error in his thinking and change. The health care mandate comes to mind, but I also believe he's changed his thinking on global warming and Cap & Trade. He's been solid on Life, except for his latest faux pax and hopefully he will see his error and change his mind. He is so skillful he could be a transformational POTUS. My hesitation with him is what would he transform us into?
Perry, whom I prefer, is not the orator that Gingrich is. However, he is an executive with vision. He understands how to change things and is committed to a republican form of govt. I can see a 10 yr history as Gov. and reasonably expect that he will be a solid conservative that values the 10th Amendment. Also, Perry has served in the military a valuable experience for the CIC and he is not from the DC culture. He is an outsider.
If Gingrich is the nominee I will vote for him. I prefer Perry. He strikes me as the kind of man you can do business with on a hand shake.
It’s clearly the case that folks are pulling up stakes and rushing off to Texas to grab up all those low wage lousy benefit jobs and have been ever since Perry became Governor. Keep it up Perry, before long the rest of the country will be a ghost town.
