The sad thing is that, even if there was a brokered convention, all the elitists would end up nominating Jeb or Christie. I doubt Palin would even be considered.

Connected story says a brokered convention is an impossibility as well.

Micheal Barone is very astute in election matters.

If a brokered convention meant they would nominate Paul Ryan, I would be all over it.

Unfortunately, it would mean a Romney nomination.

And who wouldn’t like that?

Certainly Barack Obama would love it because a fractured GOP makes it easier for him to win re-election. No doubt, some would leave a brokered convention bitter and disillusioned because their preferred candidate didn't get the nomination and will choose to stay home rather than work to support the nominee, regardless who that nominee is.

Wake up, people. This a dream scenario for Obama and nobody else.

At some point between now and the election the following fantastical claims will be made, will be affirmed, and will be believed:

1. Obama will give way to a Hillary candidacy
2. California and/or New York and/or Massachusetts will go Republican
3. The Democrat and/or Republican convention will be brokered
4. Sarah Palin will get in the race
