Some Sarah Palin supporters are still hopeful the former Alaska governor will jump into the GOP's 2012 presidential race and will run an ad in Iowa urging her to run.
Conservatives4Palin will air a television ad in the Sioux City, Iowa market asking the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate to enter the 2012 race, reports The Des Moines Register.
In October, Palin announced that she would not run for the party's nomination. "You don't need an office or a title to make a difference," she said in a YouTube video. Palin had weighed a presidential bid for months and was the subject of much media speculation.
The Register reports that Conservatives4Palin announced the ad buy Friday in a blogpost on their website.
"Your contributions have made it possible for us to run the Palin reconsider television ad next week in the Sioux City, Iowa market," said the post. "If this ad is able to build some momentum for the Governor, the best way to keep that momentum going may be to commission a national GOP primary poll that includes the Governor as one of the options."
However, with the Hawkeye State's caucuses on Jan 3, the group has little time to convince Palin to reconsider her decision and enter the race.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Frankly, I admire her for putting her family first. If more people did that, just think how much better off this country would be.
LOVE YA SARAH!
Palin is positioned for an independent run. If Romney is in as the R-candidate, I predict she will
“go rogue”. I will vote for her over Zero and RINOzero. Heck, it’s to the point I would vote for
Ron Paul over Zero and RINOzero...
“Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.”
My thoughts exactly.
Not a chance. She knows that would guarantee 4 more for Obama.
She realizes we need to swing the Republican party as far to the right as we can; then get behind our nominee.
There is no national primary. It is state by state.
If you don’t win Iowa, NH and/or South Carolina, you are probably toast as for the nomination.

I’m with you. We held our noses for the Establishment in 2008 with Cain, and WE LOST to the most inexperienced candidate to ever run on a major party ticket. Here we were, the ultimate moderate, a war hero, experience through the teeth...and he couldn’t beat Obama.
So the Establishment had their chance, and they gave us a HOPELESS candidate. I’m not prepared to trust their judgement again.
Romney is a sure loser.
In a word, stupid.
I think this is a bad idea for a couple of reasons.
First and foremost, she has said she doesn’t want to run. Can we not respect her decision to put herself and her family first and not run this time around? This is telling her she was wrong in her decision, which she says she made after careful, prayerful consideration. I believe her and respect her decision.
And second, hasn’t the deadline for being on the ballot in most states (at least the important, early states) already passed? It was news last week that Newt missed the filing deadline to be on the ballot in Missouri, and that is long after Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, etc.
It wasn't the Establishment, it was the Economy and the Evisceration of the Stock Indexes in September...
Why waste money on this? If they’re serious about getting a conservative in the White House, they should contribute to a candidate that’s actually running.
I just cannot understand how anyone with even just half a brain could think an independent run would be good if they want to see Obama defeated.
Who says our candidate must be picked by November of the year preceding the election? GOP insiders, that’s who, a lot of this was staged to preempt anyone but the Mittster.
If Romney is the nominee, he and Obama split the left and center and Palin takes the right. It is doable.

I agree that those factors didn’t help, but Cain with PATHETIC. He HATED the base and let them know it, right through the autumn. Rush was on top of that.

Cain >> McCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not happening this year. Maybe down the road.
Romney or Gingrich are a guaranteed wipeout for the GOP so she might as well run.
