It’s true of people (and in principle, it should be for frogs, though I’ve never actually seen or heard of it happening to them). People die in hot tubs and hot springs, more often than you might think. After about 110-120º you start to cook, literally. Enzymes in the body only function at certain temps, and if you gradually increase temp, you lose your strength.
