Palin to Visit Iowa, South Carolina Using New Political Model
Yahoo! News / Associated Content ^ | June 1, 2011 | Mark Whittington

According to Real Clear Politics, Sarah Palin has found her history tour of the American northeast so successful that she will soon take similar bus trips to the Midwest and American south.

Just by coincidence, the Midwest trip would end up in Iowa and the Southern junket will end in South Carolina. Iowa has the first national party caucus and South Carolina is an early primary state which votes soon after New Hampshire.

Clearly Palin is conducting a test run of what may be the most unusual presidential campaign in recent American history. She means to bypass the Republican Party establishment, including the cadre of precinct chairman whom political candidates usually cater to, and take her case directly to the voters. Many pundits regard this as a mistake and even a sign Palin has no intention of running. The party apparatus is considered crucial for creating on the ground organization that a candidate needs to get out the vote.

Palin may be thinking of a different model, one that seems to have worked in the past two or so years to shake the political foundations of the United States: the Tea Party movement.....

How can a "ditzy, moronic, stupid hick" come up with a completely new political model?

Two page article.

Well, if it works, others will start doing something similar. If not, she doesn’t get the nomination and others will also have learned a lesson.

“How can a “ditzy, moronic, stupid hick” come up with a completely new political model? “ ====

Why would a beautiful, smart woman NEED a new political model that avoids scrutiny, accountability, responsibility and conflict? Maybe it’s FEAR, hesitancy, lack of confidence, competence, experience, ability, media aversion?

“A new political model” -— top to bottom -— is exactly what is needed to knock us off the road to perdition that old-line politicos and their monied backers have set us upon.

Go, Sarah, go!

note to Karl R.: it’s spelled I-R-R-E-L-E-V-A-N-T and your picture is going to be next to it in the next dictionary.

Did you all enjoy the free pizza Gov. Romney sent you last week? Of course, Mr. Soros probably springs for some Papa John’s every now and then, doesn’t he?

Great question!

Meanwhile Newt, whom everyone including many Dems feels has a brain second only the Immaculated One in size and power, can’t even find the switch to energize his crappy campaign using the OLD political model.

The old system has been hijacked by a partisan press. Once the media took sides, the old ways of doing things have become poisoned. The person who adapts the quickest to the new paradigm will benefit from it. Trump had a glimpse, but Sarah seems to see it best.

Maybe an otherwise viable candidate recognizes that the media is profoundly biased against her, and therefore nothing akin to a normal campaign could possibly work. If the bouncer decides you’re not going in thru the main door, you’re not going in thru the main door - even if you’re exactly who the bouncer should let in.

I hope you’re right, but I’m afraid when you’re the only candidate/wannabee fully invested in aversion, diversion and avoidance of the media, that you look a little unprepared for the Oval Office pressures and smaller than the braver candidates.

It’s cute for the tankers to watch her take it to the media, but the nomination is in grave doubt. The Romneyites and the Palinbots are the only ones who have made up their minds this early. The media wants Palin obviously.

I’ve doubted that she was going to run. However, she sees the world changing and is the only candidate who is adapting. I think it was her only shot and she is doing everything she can for us.

Yeah, the media wants her so badly that they accused her of complicity with murder and attempted murder what was it? Five months ago? Either you’re high, ill-informed or a troll, or maybe some combination of the three.

Many pundits regard this as a mistake

Pundits are like critics, and critics are like eunuchs at an orgy. Need I say more?

That is a very good point. I like that. But I want to see her perform better with the media meanies and I want to see a triumph, not a dodge, run and hide. I am dying to see her manage an interview that is “hard” and shout it out with some form and confidence, but not the never ending agreeable platitudes, generalities and grudge chatter against the questions and questioner. Boring.

Hysteria, because I am among the undecided? Romney? Well that takes the cake. All the name calling because I am undecided?

Sarah agrees with every other conservative tier candidate in the race, as do you and I. Does that make you presidential material, or me? It seems to me there are others who have half the baggage of Sarah, half the thin skin, but will be seen showing up unafraid to take the heat, which is beginning to make the pressure of the presidency elusive for her while she entertains only the choir base with her avoidance of the media, any accountability and all responsibility for what she believes should be world policy, which is unknown.

Mad at the media and a grudge match does not entirely a campaign make, in this marxist era full of RINOs at the helm. I am ready for some thinkers to emerge as well as patriotic foot soldiers, and I wanna know what they think IN DETAIL, ON ISSUES, particularly on education, foreign policy, world view, as soon as possible.

I have to admit you are right. I just saw a troll over at The Blaze saying that Sarah was doing this to avoid having to answer hard questions while Romney Pawlenty and Cain all had appeared on TV in the last 30 days.
On the other hand, taking the case right to the people and past the media like Reagan did has worked every time it’s been tried...(once.)

Perhaps you are undecided, but if you genuinely believe the things you just posted regarding Gov Palin then you are equally uninformed.

Hahahaha! “Thin skin” you say? She’s taken more abuse, flak, attacks, heat and insults since September 2008 than Mr. Obama and all the GOP dwarves, combined, so that your comment amazes me with it’s silliness. She has shared her opinion on numerous issues (Israel, WOT, deficits, military, energy, etc.) Just because you haven’t seen them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

Who’s getting more coverage? How many more threads are there on here then any other candidate? She dominates the news, they follow her around like paparazzi, and she has the attention of every news outlet over all other candidates. She’s meeting the grass roots people and setting the stage for being the “return to our successful roots” candidate. She had taken the wind out of the sails of all the other candidates. She has outsmarted every other candidate and the media. No matter who your candidate preference is at this point you have to admit that she has the attention.

And Palin has been on the news every night and during the day during the past 30 days. I would dare say people are hearing what she says 10 times more then any of the other candidates.
