Conventional wisdom is Bachmann and Palin appear to the same constituency. There's nothing controversial in that assertion by Krauthammer. He doesn't believe she'll run because she's still with Fox. That's a credible point, made by more than one freeper as well, but Palin "fans" here dismiss the logic because they so badly want her to be running.
He said the others can't suck the oxygen out of a room like she can. No one here would dispute that.
The bus tour is certainly highly unusual. The day she announced her resignation from the governor's office, Krauthammer suggested she write, she speak, she campaign for others and come 2016 no one will care about the early resignation and she'll still be young.
For a guy who people are panning, he was very prescient in what she should do to keep herself in the spotlight. The Fox panel thought he was nuts and presumed the resignation mean she was finished. He was also right that there was not a scandal set to drop.
APPEAL, not appear.
She hasn’t said she plans to form an exploratory committee or to run, which were the criteria for Fox taking someone off the air. That doesn’t mean she won’t decide to run.
The only thing that's certain is that the hangover comes in the morning and Americans are nothing if not ferociously loyal to their Ladies. Love 'em or leave 'em oh nit picky ones. I love 'em.
I don’t see a problem with what he said, either.
I agree with C.K. that Palin should have gone out into the Wilderness, not of Alaska, but of Elks Clubs and Kiwanis Clubs, etc, and delivered thoughtful addresses on matters crucial to American domestic and foreign policy.
But instead she decided to emphasize her brand and to make money. Oh, well, that’s why I’m not in PR.
