Contact with Donors Another Hint of Palin's Executive Ambitions: SarahPAC Sends Out Mass Mailing
Associated Content / Yahoo! News ^ | May 16, 2011 | Mark Whittington

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has started a direct mail campaign to start filling up the coffers of SarahPAC, according to the Washington Post. This move has stoked speculation about Palin's 2012 plans.

400,000 copies of a mailer were sent out to potential donors. The wording of the document does not address any of Palin's specific plans for 2012 one way or the other. "Taking back control of the House last year was only the first step, Now you and I must fix our eyes on 2012. Our goal is to take back the White House and the Senate."

By one definition, this suggests that Palin's plans are much the same as they were for 2010: to be a kingmaker, and influence the outcomes of various House, Senate, and gubernatorial elections. However, the way the mailing was worded does not mean that Palin is not running for president.

Indeed, recent developments would suggest that Palin's opportunities to run for president have widened. Both Mike Huckabee and Donald Trump have declined to run for president. Huckabee's refusal frees up a host of social conservative voters who will now be up for grabs. Trump's absence will mean that oxygen will not be sucked away from other candidates with a more serious approach to running for president. A hole has been wrought quite wide enough for Palin to enter the race and become a front runner, with some considerable effort and luck.....

****Secretary of Energy Sarah Palin in a Republican administration is not outside the realm of possibility, considering her experience and expertise on that issue.****

That one thing I've thought is most likely for Palin. I can see her doing that.

Why is Palin the only person who is not good enough for some people on this site to Run for President? If someone like Cain or Trump were good enough Palin should be. She has actual executive experience at running a city, state and has been on a national ticket.

She pretty much said that she’s running with the “GAME ON” speech in Madison...but she is not ready to make it official yet, so no one will be seeing her on the ground of Iowa yet.

One thing people have to remember is that Palin said that she is just going to jump into the race, no exploratory committee....so for her to jump right into the race, then EVERYTHING MUST BE IN PLACE to gain sudden momentum and that means that starting out slowly to pick up steam because she or her staff doesn’t have her her ducks in order would lose ground even if she were to shoot up into polls once she announces. Sarah will need to blitz it and so right now, they are building things up

You know darn well that there is a very aggressive organized group that are in as such identical to trained anti-aircraft gunners of the German Army in WW2?

And just as soon as the drone of the approaching Sarah Palin Armada is heard they will unload the 88’s so heavily with flak we will be able to walk upon it.

That's right. Half Governor Palin should be handed the Presidency because people are just not fair to her. She should start the Victim Self Pity Party, because I don't think any of those meany repugnicans will be nice to her either.

What you just said made no sense. Any candidate will be treated in the exact way Palin was and is treated. Look at Gingrich and look at how Trump was treated.

Look at Gingrich and look at how Trump was treated.

If you are suggesting Gingrich or Trump were treated unfairly, or if you are comparing Governor Palin to them, please make that clear. I will be laughing too hard to post, but I am sure you will get some sage advice.

I was trying to explain to a friend of mine why I am betting that she will get in.

Imagine how big a story it would be if she announces her run.

My friend thought about it and finally admitted he could see what I was saying.

What I said I thought was rather clear, if and when its formally announced FR will be hit with enough flak about it that Jims servers will fail.

I honestly hope not, posting on the alternate FR website tends to be a bit boring with only a couple of members, no offense to Jelibean.

palinsupporter1, I’m a Palin supporter too, but it doesn’t bother me that there are people in FR who don’t think she should run, or don’t think she can win.

Name a candidate, any candidate, and you will find critics of that candidate in FR. Why should it be any different for Palin?

I never thought I'd see someone on FreeRepublic aping DUmmie, Kos and HuffandBlo phrases and talking points to mock a good, Christian, conservative woman and leader. What are your screen names over there?

That’s actually funny. You’re right of course.

If Palin generates as much enthusiasm on the ground, or close to it, I can’t see how she doesn’t win in a romp. Most Conservatives will get on board, and just typical Republicans will get caught up in it. RINOs, whatever percentage that is, like 30% max, will have Romney, Pawlenty, Daniels, Gingrich, etc etc to choose from.

In after PDS.

Disagree. The venom of PDS defies logic.

>> Half Governor Palin

Palin could have easily weathered her Governorship if it were tenacity alone that was being tested. I sincerely believe altruism was a major factor in her decision to step down. Of course, if one doesn’t like Palin, it’s easy to find fault in any decision she makes.

Hey, I dish out venom all the time at Ron Paul and I used to at Mike Huckabee. No point in attacking Huckabee now. He’s thankfully pulled himself out of the running. But I’m sure all the paulbots think I’m venomous and unfair to their chosen candidate.

And don’t even get me started on Our Man Myth.

So there’s plenty of venom to go around. It’s just that some of my fellow Palin-lovers (and that is what I am) are a little too thin-skinned. Far more thin-skinned than Sarah herself.

Yep. Wow! I wasn't even keeping a running list, but I recognize toxic pds when I see it. I keep quiet now when I sort out a PDS sufferer. I intently study them. I don't want to forget who they are and what they look like. The looking glass is a good analogy. Imagine what side they are looking through and you can determine their politics. Thanks for the pings. I read, but I may not always respond.

Palinsupporter1 knows that while, yes there are those who legitimately question whether Sarah is the best choice or ideal person to face Obama, there is a stronger current of people who are pretty much trolls who do nothing but bash Sarah and supporters with talking points straight from the liberal wing of the likes of the Huffington Post!

For example, I don’t like Tim Pawlenty very much, too boring and non charismatic but I don’t attack him nor use left wing babble against him, nor do I go to every Thread that has Tim Pawlenty name in there somewhere to post a snarky comment about him, I don’t have the time for that but these people do and are obsess with Sarah in every way!!!
