Descending Into Madness: Beck Says GOP Trying To Politically Assassinate Him, Bachmann & Palin
Fav Stocks ^ | April 17, 2011 | Nicole Belle

He’s losing it.

It’s only a matter of time before the men with the strait jacket show up. In Beckistan, not only is world controlled by Soros-funded liberals, but the GOP now wants to “politically assassinate” him and his fellow truth tellers, Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin.

On his radio show today, Glenn Beck claimed that the Republican Party is out to politically assassinate him, Sarah Palin, and Michele Bachmann. [..]

Beck said, “May I just, I mean they’re going to call me a conspiracy theorist, but let’s go on a little conspiracy here, and I don’t claim to know what it is, and maybe it’s all coincidental, but I don’t believe in coincidence. I think there’s something happening with the Republicans and the right that is disturbing. There was a time when Republicans and the right if you will didn’t mind the Tea Party. They used them as fuel, but if you’ll notice Michele Bachmann is now enemy number one. Michelle Bachmann is being discredited like I haven’t seen before, and they’ve tried for a while, but like I haven’t seen before. Even those in Congress are distancing themselves from the Tea Party and the caucus, and you can make excuses and maybe some of them are valid, maybe. “

He floated his conspiracy theory that the GOP was out to politically assassinate himself, Bachmann and Palin, “Sarah Palin has always been pilloried by the left, but have you noticed the right and how she’s being pilloried? The same with me. The same with CPAC. Are decks being cleared? Is it just a coincidence, or is the 2012 presidential election raising its head now, and anyone who talks about freedom, or is a real wild card that could hurt the party, are they being politically assassinated at this point?”

I’m going to give him the contextual benefit of the doubt that he means “discredit” when he talks about “political assassination”, but it’s a little hard to be absolutely sure with Beck, isn’t it? Should members of the GOP fear the Beck ultra-loyalists, like Byron Williams?

Although he does not mention him by name, Beck is apparently nursing his wounded ego over being summarily dismissed as an unserious conspiracist by William Kristol and lashing out. For someone so eager to paint others in a conspiratorial light, he certainly is thin-skinned, as evidenced by his recent similar attacks on Lawrence O’Donnell.

What to say? So Glenn Beck is a coward? Did I get that right? A coward? I’ll go back and re-read your post. You couldn’t have called Glenn Beck a coward. Oh, you do indeed call him a coward. Is there perhaps another definition you are using? I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Are you referring to the definition that describes a coward as someone who chickens out in the face of adversity? Who backs down when confronted by those who would do him harm? Who takes the path of safety rather than the courageous one? Am I getting a yes from you? So you think Glenn Beck a coward? You know, that mile-wide yellow streak on the back?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t his family the victim of a day-in-day-out barrage of threats? Didn’t the most powerful man in the world personally set a team of 87 researchers on Beck? Didn’t Beck lay open Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Rogers, Cloward-Pivens, that media czar who wants to model Chavez? That woman advisor who holds Chairman Mao as one of her greatest mentors? The fake overthrow of Soviet Russia? Wilson’s Progressive authoritarianism and influence on the Nazis? Again, I want to be on the side of truth here, but wasn’t Beck the guy who helped to introduce authors and their books that resulted in millions reading them and learning about the roots of our Republic, the impossibility that Obama wrote the autobiography that got him the White House, the solid unmistakable trail through Socialism that has been Obam’s only route?

You, sir, and your ilk who denigrate those who have done so much for so many, the legions here on FR who whine and backbite when your every issue is not espoused: HOW CAN WE DISMANTLE THSE SOCIALISTS IF WE TAKE THE LONG KNIVES OUT ON FELLOW CONSERVATIVES?

How do we get voters to stop being apathetic? Most people find politics boring and tedious and don’t see that much difference no matter who is in power.

Politics is war by other means, and vice versa.

Being hungry, cold, wet, and getting shot at are great motivators for the apathetic. Unfortunately, the motivation comes after the consequences of the apathy.

There is a Conservative party and a Liberal party and the lines are being drawn who belongs to which.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Isn’t it time we called “liberals” what they are? They are communists!

There are two parties in the U.S. today: The conservative faction and the communist faction.

Property tax of all kinds should be abolished.

We don’t own our homes, businesses, the equipment in our business, or our cars, etc. The government does! Property tax is rent to the government. If we fail to pay our rent ( property tax), the landlord ( government) evicts us.

And....When it comes to property tax, government schools are the biggest pig of all. Abolish the government school entitlement as well!

a strict constitutionalist like Michelle Bachmann
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

When it comes to the Constitution, Michele Bachmann will fold like a deck chair on the Titanic. She's the one who stated that having a natural born citizen for a president was the **least** important issue we have.

She doesn't give a twit about the Constitution.

Too bad Beck mocked me and other fellow ‘birthers’ making US out to be kooks. So sorry for you Beck. Enjoy the stockpile of gold you earned by all of us birthers listening to your stupid butt.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Beck, Coulter, and OReilly’s INSULTING comments about the birthers was like a punch in the nose.

So?...If a husband smashes his wife's face, fractures her nose, crushes her sinuses, cracks the floor of her eye sockets and shatters her zygomatic arches, she should forgive him since he was sometimes nice?

I am done with the three of them!

Michele Backmann discredited herself when she claimed that having a natural born citizen for president was the **least** important things to worry about. She is a FOOL!

Agreed. You said it simply and clearly. No to unapportioned, and(/or) recurring (multiple) taxes!

Progressives control the Democrat Party and part of the Republican Party...there is your problem. The Tea Party will have to purge them from the GOP.

No problem! Another FReeper mentioned the topic years ago, that got my mind working.

The two biggest problems we have in Washington are the 17th amendment, and the fixed number of Representatives (why would anyone gerrymander if it couldn’t help). There is no accountability, and therefore no responsibility, and therefore voter apathy, and no accountability. It’s a vicious cycle of corruption. It’s intentional, and it has to go.

The mainstream of the GOP belongs with the Democratic party. They actually are the Democrats of Joseph McCarthy, Harry Truman, JFK and Zell Miller. They wouldn’t be a bad opposition party to the Conservatives, but they are horrible when folded together. The Democrats are at least 80% communist. I would say socialist, but that is just another word. The would control even the very breath we take, the food we eat, how to raise our children, even what lanes we can operate our vehicles in. People forget about that, how the “gift” of HOV lanes, that are largely empty, built just for good little commies. Then lest I forget the bike lanes, who else would force govt to pay for taking lanes from commercial and commuter traffic, so idiots can “commute” by pedal power.

Those are great ideas. Unfortuantely, it’s in most of our elected officials best interest to keep things as they are and never enact any of those things. They want us apathetic.

Your first paragraph:

I don’t care for theatrics.

Your second paragraph:

You’re correct on all counts. This is why I don’t remember missing any of Beck’s FNC daily shows.

Your third paragraph:

I don’t belong to an ilk or legions that back bite, whine about, or denigrate any Conservatives.

Then what’s my problem with Beck?

As you correctly said:

“HOW CAN WE DISMANTLE THSE SOCIALISTS IF WE TAKE THE LONG KNIVES OUT ON FELLOW CONSERVATIVES?”

That’s exactly what Beck did to a section of the Conservative base. It’s part of over 50% of Americans who don’t know, don’t believe or at least have doubts about where 0b0z0 was born. They also want him to simply show his sealed paper trail, if it exists.

Beck has the right to disagree with anything he wants including eligibility Conservatives. He didn’t mention the subject for years, but to come out and call them birther kooks and whatever else, is simply offensive and uncalled for. By calling those Conservatives names, he gives more ammunition to the MSM to denigrate Conservatives even more.

Other Conservative Media personalities didn’t want to touch the subject for whatever reasons. They may simply disagree or they could have been threatened and controlled through their bosses.

As I wrote in my post, Beck’s teachings of read, question boldly and protect the Constitution are commendable. He didn’t practice what he preached when it came to QUESTIONING BOLDLY the eligibility of the usurper AND attacked the eligibility Conservatives for gaining “credibility and being less than a kook” as described by the MSM.

I see no other valid reason for Beck to do what he did, hence, my classification of him.

Communist Goal number 15:

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

They obviously have the Democrat Party and have for a long time. They have made great strides in taking over the Republican Party. Their wedge is the use of political consultants who are always urging us to move Left to attract the moderates. We do and lose. We need a hard core conservative for the "moderates" to consider. That is why they are trying to destroy the authentic conservatives. They know the moderates will vote for the conservative.

You need a bib for the froth. How about a nice hot bath and then some warm milk? You need to calm down, might do yourself an injury.

Are you a relative of his or something?

While I wouldn’t (necessarilly) call Glenn Beck a coward, he is definitely afraid. The problem is that it won’t be until later that we get to see if he was being prudently cautious, or a mere coward.

Melancholy is correct, in that Glenn Beck was wrong to turn on Conservatives, especially over the birther movement. I cannot say how conservative Glenn Beck is, because he doesn’t seem to be to me, but maybe he’s just afraid to voice conservativism.

Here’s my personal assessment, (you are free to disagree), and I stated it in my first post: “First they came for the ‘birthers,’ but I was not a ‘birther’”...

This was my one line critique of Glenn Beck’s behavior. [By the way, I went to the “Restoring Honor Rally” (and met some other great FReepers, in person, to boot!)] Glenn Beck is (was?) part of the ignorant crowd who thinks, or at least behaves like he thinks: A) The leftists will stop their assault on our freedom peacefully, is we say “Stop”, B) If you are nice to them and courteous, they’ll leave you alone and C) If you are willing to point out the first two are impossible, you’re just not hoping enough.

I have great respect and admiration for the man’s work, and I don’t expect him to be perfect, he faces great adversity everyday. That having been said, he was the one who started mistreating conservatives for bringing up the things that he himself is afraid to (”birthers” being one), instead of throwing his resources behind the movement, or even just addressing it as a concern many had, but saying he remained neutral on the issue, he chose to mock and ridicule.

That’s hardly pledging to one another “life, fortune and sacred honor.” So while I don’t discount Glenn Beck’s work, I also am unwilling to pretend he didn’t spit in the eyes of conservatives (on national TV at that), and then tell them they needed to be united.

When the truth about the Birth Certificate and the other issue’s he’s discounted plays out, he may feel the lonely sting he deserves, for isolating himself, but in the end I hope he’s not abandoned by conservatives, either.
